Could watch the 4th goal all night!! At the game yesterday I though the goalie should have walked for the Lawless incident but highlights make it look 50/50 to me....Jackie in papers today saying he hopes to have Lawless back in a couple of weeks. Tad optimistic I would think!
i agree with you about the keeper, I was convinced he 'done' Lawless, but in the highlights I think it was definitely 50/50

Bannigan wasted at RB. He did well but we were better when Welsh went in there .
Great to have so many players who are more than adequate in a number of positions
it worked well for the first half hour at most, then Falkirk shut him down

He can be frustrating. Some player. The sort of player you can't shout at, as 2 minutes later you have egg on your face.
He 's uncoachable, infact you could coach his ability out of him. Great to watch and pish at the same time. Made for Thistle
perfectly put. The greatest thing about him is he never hides & never gives up

Forbes and Erskine are both frustrating players because of their inconsistency, but you play them every week because when they come good the team will play well. Forbes' passing, powerful shot and set piece delivery (it's so nice to feel that a corner or free kick might lead to a goal) make him a threat, while Erskine is a joy to watch when on song. His finish today was worth the price of admission alone!
couldn't have put it any better!! Forbes pass to Bannigan was also worth the admission, it was just a shame the keeper saved it

Interesting to note that BBC Scotland is now reporting that Rangers would like to see a 14-14-14 set-up. Many of us have been struggling with different arithmetical formulae over recent months in an attempt to satisfy multiple demands from both supporters and clubs. What is abundantly clear is that the current 12-12-18 proposition, with artificial multi-splits and zero-setting of points, is just not workable - and simply not what the punters are looking for! Maybe it is indeed time to go back to the straightforward 14-14-14 arrangement, two-up two-down, plus play-offs for a potential third up/down place, once each home and away, and then a simple 7-7 split with 12 more home-and-away games = a guaranteed 34 league games for everybody. Beyond that, we can also look at more attractive arrangements for the various Cup competitions.
this seems the most obvious & simple solution. The first bit of common sense I think I've ever heard from Charles Green

Partick Thistle Football Club still have a 100% league record in games I've been to this season. We've been cack because I've been away from Firhill.
Normal service will be resumed on Saturday.
Me too, I'm back next week (i hope)

played 5 drawn 3 lost two, over reaction
so 12 points dropped is acceptable?

WTF. 2 OG's in a minute from Balatoni!
Surely (hopefuly) a mistake on the official site.
it happened a few weeks ago as well, the Raith game. I thought we'd gone from 2-1 up to 3-2 down in the space of a minute

not really sure what it's got to do with PTFC, but good luck to them anyway
-
Welsh Tweeted "@welshdogg4: Big apology to all the lads & fans 2day.. Was an honest mistake! Forgot a had been booked and thot a was making a good foul #gutted"

We're not a dirty team, but the indisipline is shocking. I cant ever remember a Jags team having so many red cards in the 1st half of a season, even when Chico was with us

QUESTION: Arriving at Livingston North around 2ish. Are there any pubs worth popping into for a 20 minute pint on the walk to the ground? You've probably answered this 100 times before so apologies.
are you old enough for a pint?

I wouldn't swap Doolan for any other striker, either in the bottom 6 of the SPL or any other striker in Division 1. That's how highly i rate him.
It seems you rate him higher than the manager then as he is clearly not our 1st choice striker now
-
I'll concede your point on Russell. Clearly others have seen more of him than me and rate him highly.
Why would you take Brian Graham over Doolan? Brian Graham has had 1 good year. That's it. In 2012 he scored 18 league goals. In 2011 he scored 8(EIGHT). He's on a purple patch, similar to Steven Thompson, which will end soon and show him for what he is. A substandard first division player.
I never said take Graham over Doolan, i said i would take Graham. he's not in the spl so your statement about a swap isn't valid in his case ;-)

I guess that's why the old Umbro ones are so rare, there were only ever match-worn shirts.
not true, I had at least 2 Umbro shirts in the late 70's/early 80's. Probably purchased in Roberts Stores or Lumleys. I also had an Umbro track suit round about then, black jacket & red trousers with Umbro symbols down the arms & legs. I ended up taking the badge off it & sewing it to my scarf at the time
-
Nope. I wouldn't take Russell. From what i have seen of him, which is limited, he hasn't looked good. His stats are impressive but so are Brian Grahams and i wouldn't take him either.
They shouldn't be in the bottom 6 based on the players they have. Some teams have bad seasons. Some teams have good seasons, like Thistle.
Says the guy who claimed Ross County were messing around with Craig but the deal was confirmed as soon as the SFA offices opened...
you wouldn't take Russell or Graham? What planet are you on?
-
I didn't say there wasn't good strikers in the bottom 6 of the SPL, just i wouldn't swap them for Doolan who fits perfectly in our system.
Which is why he's spent most of the season on the subs bench

Game off due to rain, beat it, when did that last happen?
not that long ago, certainly within the last 2 years. I can't remember who/when, but we got to the ground to find it was off due to waterlogged pitch
-
Why do we not have pitch covers?
I wondered that as well :-(
-
Would hope it was cancelled. Working tomorrow.
I hope not as i should have been working but took a day's holiday!

did Murray ever play a RB at St Mirren? I always used to think that was where he played, but maybe I was mistaken
-
Yes, away form is very poor, nowhere near good enough to win the league
-
Poor result coupled with dropping off the top of the table, disappointing end to the year :-(
