  1. Ok guys - thanks to everyone who has donated so far, but I'd be very very grateful if anyone else has a shirt/ shirts they could donate. We'll happily accept ANY football shirt / shirts that you no longer need or want. These can be handed in at the offices at Firhill or posted to me if you're further afield. I'm around either before or after home games to collect if that's easier for you - just send me a message and I'll organise to meet. Thanks again to everyone that's supported The Firhill Cup!

  8. Right guys - we need your help! Last years Firhill Cup included a footie shirt auction and sale which was a huge success - so much so that lots of people have asked if we'll do it again! so we are - but we need your help. We need donations of unwanted or outgrown (!) football shirts - from any team. We'll be delighted to accept books, boots, hats scarves - anything footie related at all! You can make donations by handing in or posting to the club office; to me in the Aitken Suite before home games or my posting to Firhill Cup c/o Enigma 1 Woodside Terrace Glasgow G3 7UY. Feel free to message me if none of the above suit! Thanks in advance guys - Charlie, Stuart and I are grateful for all your help in pulling this together..

  16. nah - adoption of minutes from last meeting etc etc but given that there's 300-400 members of the trust and Jackie was attending, was surprised by how few people were there- maybe needs publicised a wee bit better?
  17. attended the Jags Trust Meeting last night - AGM followed by a "Meet the Manager" session with Jackie Mac - Jackie was brilliant, spending an hour talking Thistle, First Division and Scotland(!) Its was great to hear how he thinks the individual players have progressed and whats he's been working on with them, as well as his views on tactical formations and how they match up to other teams in the division.
  18. there's a car park at the stadium - always space if you get there early enough - its £3

  20. Personally I thought the board was right to wait, before confirming their stance. However it's put, it's a clear no to any "newco" joining the first division. No matter what your position on this fiasco, i think everyone is pretty much in agreement that scottish football needs re-organised/ re-structured. I think that everyone also recognises that Rangers' actions will have a negative impact on finances across all of the divisions, especially in the SPL, but may have further reaching consequences in terms of sponsorship for the game as a whole. Whether we like it or not, currently it's the SFA who make the rules governing Scottish Football in general, and therefore I agree that it's entirely up to them to sort this out. Whether they do or not, or are capable of doing it, is another matter - and that's maybe more what the club's statement is alluding to, rather than any passing of the buck thats been suggested. I think we're looking at the biggest fundamental shift we've ever had in the balance of power in Scottish Football here - and it's therefore an opportunity to force change for the good of the whole game. I just really really hope we can take it and come out the other side with a structure and set-up that's fair & equitable and rewards who work within the system - however tough it is for the next few years.
