  1. Hello Nomads - and friends of the sons of the desert Yep, Its that time of year when the postman brings renewal forms for PTFC kit sponsorship my door As you may well know, we sponsored 3 shirts last year. I'd like to think we could do so and maybe more this year? Prices are the same as last year so that is good news for us all. As ever, all you need to do is send me your contribution in multiples of £10 please with each tenner earning you a raffle ticket for a chance to win a shirt at the end of the season. Paypal would be great. Just label your contribution as a gift and no deduction will be made. Send your payment to [email protected] as usual. If you are not into Paypal, send me a forum personal message and we'll use other avenues. Many thanks to everyone who takes timeout to join in this valuable fund raising effort. Shuggie

  9. Hi Nomads, I have finally got my act together and set up this draw. I have 3 shirts to raffle for those Nomads who contributed to the cause last May. There are 30 Nomads in the draw, some with one chance and some with eight (£10/chance) First up a draw for the first shirt. I am using a random number generator app on a Kindle. JOHN BAIRD is the first shirt
  10. Another year older and hopefully wiser?
  11. Looking forward to seeing "the story" of the meeting. A great result for everyone concerned. and it looks like the lessons learned actions are encouraging too Relief!!.
  12. Seriously though, it seems to me that to institute change, those involved have to be convinced of the need/imperative or the opportunity that beckons. Without that shared understanding, you'll fail to gain consensus and therefore the commitment to see things through ( especially when difficulties arise). PTFC have got a job on their hands to bridge the gap that has opened up here. So Friday's meeting should start with Abject Apologies. Then it should turn to the matter above. Only if this is dealt with properly can any discussion then follow to see how everyone can be accommodated in an agreement that will work for us all. Tough call.
  13. Garry, Glad you can make it. I also have Alan H., a friend of the Nomads too. Say hi to each other. You do not have to wear a Fez! I should be in touch tomorrow. In the meantime feel free to browse through the carnage here. It ain't hard to get the sense of dismay that recent actions have created. There are also a few suggestions as to how things could move forward.

    Nomad Vote

Ultimately, I am not against an agreement being reached with those fans who just love the current North Stand singing section. We have seen an appalling gaff at trying to tease them out !! IF we can get a raft of improvements made to alternate accommodation that are created by these fans and implemented PRONTO, then we might create a stadium that is better than today's and one that can make a lot more cash for the club. These fans are a great asset to the club and should be nurtured ... for they are creating the platform for growth in the future. I'd hate to go back to Firhill and feel as if I'd stepped Into a public library.
  15. What exactly would be needed in the way of Main Stand improvements to accommodate those fans who love the North Stand? Could a prioritised list be compiled and presented to the Club? ... And a time schedule agreed for such improvements? PS We should also seek assurances that no repeat of this sort of fiasco should ever happen again.
  16. Can we compile a list of the perceived Pros And Cons? Then try to give them each a weighting? - noting that any Pro or Con may introduce undesired side effects? E.g. Move out of North Stand to Main Stand has lots of effects with roll on consequences ....... Attendees need to have a good set of considered options to hand rather than be blinded to the full outcomes of any changes
  17. Opening stance: Let's rename the North Stand. Hmmm the Red&Yellow Stand? The Shed? it'sourskeepyourhandsoffit?
  18. Are there any Nomads in town this Friday to stand in for me please?
  19. Tommy, Many thanks for your efforts. I am in deepest, darkest Devon with a dodgy wifi link to the world.... But 38 stable ford points today so all is well :-) I will get a draw for these organised this weekend on my return to the Midlands. Be in touch soon. Shuggie
  20. Signed. This Nomad is with you guys all the way.
  21. This Nomad is disgusted. No enthusiasm for future fund raising. Decision needs to be reversed pronto.
  22. And learn to swing it so it hits my face
