For me , with (dis)honourable mentions to the Dick, and DJ there is a clear winner in my 30+ yrs watching the Jags.....step forward Sandy Clark. Took a team with one league defeat (in the game before he was appointed away at McDiarmid) to winning 2 of the next 17. Included in that shambles was a 5-4 Hogmanay humping from Albion Rovers ffs....despite being 2 up after 3 mins and also leading 4-2 as I recall. I think most of us would agree the current squad is amongst the best we've had for some time....but how many if any would make your all time XI? In my time watching Thistle (since early 80's) - and without having spent hours thinking about it - contenders for the best XI in that time would be: Nicky Walker Alan Dinnie Jim Duffy Scott Patterson Kenny Watson Donald Park Albert Craig Martin Hardie Chic Charnley (by a whisker over Andy Lyons) Maurice Johnston Mark Roberts I'd fancy that team to give the current squad a decent game and think maybe Stephen O'Donnell would be closest to making the team. Always subjective and largely influenced by the timeframe over which you've been watching...but look forward to watching the debate begin....!
