Highlights show that McGuigan and Elliot combined well to set Erskine on the run which produced the first goal for McMillan.

There were a few foreign one-offs
Jean Michel Javary?
Geoffrey Laget?

What a big disappointment Jakup Mikkelsen turned out to be. He was one of the best goalkeepers playing in Denmark with Herfoelge, a club of similar size as Thistle, winning the championship in 2000. I was well chuffed when Thistle signed him, but what a disappointment, he ended up being.
I'm looking at Jakup's photo on my wall! Could not ask for a nicer chap. I remember going to the Scotland-Faroes game at Hampden hoping that Scotland would win and that all the goals would be such brilliant strikes that there was no way Jakup would be blamed for not saving them.

And Jim Slavin will make the round trip and return to us.

Albert "the Ghost" Craig

We could bring back Jimmy Bone.
and Alan Wuff

Brilliant, if scary, to re-live all of that.
In the midst of some serious and poignant stuff, a few gems of humour such as the fund raising idea of a sponsored walk round Jim Slavin!

Would like to see a few of the fringe players get a run out but beating Ross Countys points total would also be good.
Archie will be mindful of the "integrity" issue. While there could be no objection to a few changes, he has to be fair to Dumbarton and Cowdenbeath by playing something reasonably resembling a full-strength first team against Dunfermline. The same issue may or may not apply the weekend after, depending on whether or not Dumbarton are safe.

Limp. Often used when discussing knobs.
Thank you. Would the flaccidity of the mast necessarily have an adverse effect on the wavingness of the flag? I think that Chris Erskine will have a brilliant game today.
-
Where's the usual team speculation thread? Does nobody care any more?
Looks like Erskine will play, despite the flaccid mast to which his colours are now nailed.
Paton not an option. Still no Murray, but looks like McMillan will feature at some point.
I see another 0-0 on the cards.
Erskine has a very good record of scoring against Falkirk over the seasons. What does flaccid mean?
-
Win not essential. 5 out of 6 result combinations mean that we win the League today. Only exception is us losing and Morton winning.Save everyone's time and just write that in every one of your posts.
Who says we're going to win today anyway?
-
From past experience Falkirk are like Hamilton in having very slow turnstiles and operators. Queues will not clear quickly so definitely a day to be there early.

Good natured pitch invasion at Inverness Caley Thistle on last day of First Division winning season even after 3-0 loss and my hero Shaggy playing his worst game ever. John Lambie sang for us.

Was he not signed from St Mirren for the SPL season a year later?
Burns was signed with just a handful of games to go, so in my view would not qualify for a "season" team. Peter Lindau mentioned above left at the end of the previous season so again does not qualify. For some reason my carriage return not working so difficult to lay out my team sensibly but it would be Fox, O'Donnell, Craigan, Paterson, Balatoni, Archibald, Bannigan, Lennon, Hardie, McLean, Erskine. Subs Arthur, Sinclair, Lawless, Doolan, Britton.

Remarkably little celebration from the players. Just a determination to put the ball back on the centre spot and get started again!

Although a strangely high number of red cards this season, we must have a far lower than average number of yellow cards. Would that be taken account of in perhaps reducing any potential fine?

From 1976 when a school friend first invited me to Firhill. It has been a long journey.

Paton scored v Dundee (I think) at home when he flicked the ball up in the air and half shot half lobbed it over the keeper from the edge of the box.
Brilliant long range goal in pre-season friendly at Stirling Albion.
