I think that’s for the latest price increase. North Kelvin and North Woodside are amongst the 6 existing zones that already operate 7 days per week until 10pm. It’s clear on the parking signs in the streets and when you enter the area there are signs saying ‘park in marked bays only’
I did wonder. The Council's twitter have said 6pm to 10pm is only from April but they might have it wrong

a sneaky move passed last month to 10pm although I didn't think it was official til April so may be worth checking.

Interesting. Council website says the change only starts from April https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/CHttpHandler.ashx?id=61595&p=0

Where were you parked? I thought the streets were all free after 6pm?
Kirkland Street for me. The signs (which I went to find in the dark after getting a ticket) said only free after 10pm. Must be a new thing?

I agree that good wing play especially by Fitzy and Lawless is a frequent source of our most promising attacks.
However, I think that we often play the ball wide unnecessarily as though we feel we have to do it. If the possibility is there to drive direct towards goal we should not be afraid to do so.. I would also like to see players having more pops at goal from round about the D rather than play the standard wide pass. As McInroy and Bannigan have proved on all too rare occasions, you might just score or at least provoke a ricochet off defender or keeper giving someone else the opportunity to do so.
Worth adding that not all wing play is created equal. At the tail end of last season, the pacy, driven ball across the six yard line was hugely productive for us. Teams hated it. It's very hard to defend, particularly when compared to 'bread and butter' crosses at head-height, where any defensive glance is usually enough to nullify danger. If we can get back to that driven cross with well-timed runs, we'll get the rewards.

Seems like no new injuries so expect the same 11 and happy with that.
Agree that a draw feels likely. QP are fairly resurgent and are back to getting a decent return from a reasonably good squad.

Strangely I thought that the referee was quite good today and let the game flow. He did not give a foul every time a player fell over, like most referees tend to do.
I agree. He got a bit more frustrating in a few moments as the game went on, but was fairly even handed and it made for an enjoyable contest.

I'd once again be flabbergasted if Doolan makes any changes other than to cover injury, but for me:
Mitchell has to start in goals.
McMillan - Muirhead or Williams* - Neilson - Milne
McBeth - Stanway
Robinson
Lawless - Fitzy
BBG.
*= O'Reilly would be a shoo-in if fit. Neilson is tolerable at left CB and will have to do. I'm tempted to put Williams in because he'd be on his preferred right-side - I think some of his shakier moments may have been trying to play on the left of central defence? But CB is the biggest worry I have for tomorrow.
In midfield, McInroy is too often a passenger and Bannigan isn't cutting it at the moment. And for me, Robinson has much more about him than McInroy or Alston by a mile.

Ah good old Socratic logic ……that’s not a casual relationship
Right, who had "Socratic logic" on their Thistle Patter bingo cards? 😁

That was a proper "Why did I spend £20 to do that?" kind of night

Be gobsmacked if Sneddon is in goal and disappointed if OReilly doesn’t start.,
Hopefully those after game comments will be along the lines of the late Bruce Forsyth…. “Didn’t they do well!”
I'd be (pleasantly) gobsmacked if Doolan makes those changes. He doesn't, by and large, drop players because of form, only injury.

We're on a roll - but so are they. Will Dools freshen it up this time? Same old same old at County, and it worked a treat. But Aero's looking knackered. Time for Dan to show us what he can do?
I could see the logic in sticking with Aero up until now because O'Reilly would have been cup-tied against County, and you don't want to chop and change in central defence too much. But I'd really like to see him start this one.

Surely the appropriate punishment is mandatory 100% attendance at Firhill for 20 years minimum. That'll show them!

I was never much convinced by Rudden, but I suspect he was carrying an injury for much of his time with us. Anyway, not much fussed even if he does sign for Raith.
Cammy Kerr might be a useful addition to the defence. I still think we look a little light weight at the back and he has always looked solid when I’ve seen him.
I also never really understood the furore when he left. He blew very hot and cold, with a lot of cold.

The Draw Lose or Draw podcast suggested McBeth is cup tied too

Wouldn't be surprised if Doolan, who normally selects a predictable line up, will experiment a bit at Dingwall rather than change things from new at Airdrie.
I'm not sure Airdrie are as physical as Morton. Our obvious weakness is in defensive mid, so a lot depends on whether McBeth is deemed reliable/fit enough to fill that role on his own. If that's the case then we can play an attacking midfield. My read is that playing both Bannigan and Alston doesn't offer enough mobility regardless of the centre mid situation. Guessing here but if McBeth starts then Bannigan would also start. The advanced midfield role, if Graham starts, probably still goes to McInroy by default.
Further up the field I feel that if Graham is in the starting line up then both Lawless and Fitzpatrick are automatic picks. If Big Brian doesn't start then there's a good few more options available in both personnel and formation.
Clearly O'Reilly has to start soon. Regardless of form, Muirhead (he was solid at Cappielow) definitely needs a break to rest/repair a couple of separate injuries. Whether he's played till the fixture break in February or not is anyone's guess.
I don't disagree with your suggestions, but making quite a few changes would be very un-Doolan-like.
He appears to strongly value consistency in team selection and thinks it makes it easier for players to know their roles as mentioned in various Jagzone interviews. He doesn't seem to drop players because of their form, at all - only for injury (including senior players returning from injury or to stop square pegs in round holes such as Wasiri filling in at LB).
Personally I think sticking with a losing team a la the side that lost to Dundee United is a mistake, and sends out a very poor message, but the team did win the following fixture (albeit scrappily at times), so go figure...
I'd really like to see McBeth, O'Reilly and Robinson starting, and a good bit of game time for James Lyon. Alston, McInroy and Muirhead could all do with being benched imo. Not averse to rotating the srikers too. But as I said, I don't expect it.
(PS doesn't all this belong in a RC match thread, or do we all have the fear?)

Watched a bit of the game last night. Poor is an understatement. That said I should hardly have thought a midwinter match in Inverness was likely to be entertaining. Our problem with the top two has been taking only one point out of a possible twelve against them. Somehow we need to reverse these results AND win away at grounds where drawing should be acceptable. Kinda feel the damage has been done.
Tho' we no doubt need a win today to stay in touch, a draw should be welcome. Morton are on a roll and should be expecting to win at home.
Last year, it looked like Morton’s Rolls would soon be a thing of the past

Personally I would have Stephen O’Donnell back in a heart beat. I know he’s 31 now but he is a regular starter in the premier league and still looks in great shape. I believe he’s out of contract in the summer and would be a realistic target as someone who is still will liked at the club. I understand the age aspect but I see no reason why he couldn’t give us a good few years in the championship if he’s still performing at premier league level. Also a threat going forward to try and fill the gap McMillan will leave.
Another very good shout. Wages potentially an issue but would welcome him back.

If and when we lose McMillan, which we will at some point, I’d like to see us try for Carson at ICT. I’ve never seen him play less than 8 out of 10 for them.

So if I understand you correctly you believe we have given an 18 month contract to a player who isn’t good enough for the premiership you speculate that’s raiths view with no evidence (although Doolan thinks he is ) because what we don’t think we will get promoted or we will get rid of him if we get promoted or Doolan a poor judge of a player
I had a reply typed out for this, but then I remembered I'll first need to post you the receipt for my laptop and the title deeds for the house I typed it in.
Sent them recorded post so they should arrive at the Meldrew household first thing tomorrow.

Another director away. I'm sure these things don't happen on purpose but there's been a real lack of boardroom stability for quite a while now.
That said, the timing/justification makes outward sense and I'm looking forward to the ship being a bit steadier after the AGM https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-news/pre-agm-update-douglas-mccrea/

Poor fare. I don't know how many times we tried to play a Hollywood pass, 50-60 yards, only for their defence to clear it or our player to mis-control. It clearly wasn't working.
On the plus side, Ngwenya looked very decent and Robinson was great again. Neilson and Fitzpatrick were off it.
