  1. Further to my post above, the following mob are also offering free tv's if England win the world cup. Free TV!!!!
  2. Yeah, i have to agree with this. It's been the lack of goals scored that's cost us this season, not the amount of goals conceded.
  3. One that always sticks in my mind is Kenny Milne's effort against Livingston on the opening day of the season, when Gerry Collins had first taken over. Brilliant goal.
  4. I heard an advert on Talksport last week about an online retailer offering a pretty good deal. If you buy a TV from them before the world cup starts, and England then go on and win the tournament, you get your money back! Pretty much a win-win situation for a Scotsman Edited to add; it's via the Toshiba website. I have a Toshiba LCD TV and it's really good, never had any problems so would highly recommend it. If you buy a Toshiba TV, register it within 7 days and England win the World Cup, you can claim your money back within 21 days
  5. That was my interpretation of the situation. The guy couldn't come back onto the park until the ref or the linesman could check that he'd stopped bleeding. The game went to quite a bit without a stoppage that the ref could get a chance to check him over. I thought Rowser was the MOTM but MacBeth was excellent aand really ran him close. I think Grehan looks to have a good bit of potential, he's decent in the air and links up the play really well, if he can improve his shooting and final ball then i think he'll be a great addition. I think it was fitting for Tuffey to have such a good game in his last appearance. He's been a great player over the last few years and it was good to see him at the top of his game one last time :worshippy:
  6. I'd say the fact that someone can have a go at McCall for being honest in his post match comments, and a match we won to boot, is what's wrong round firhill these days amongst fans. Nitpicking for the sake of it. The guys was being realistic, and it's nothing do do with "getting excuses in early".
  7. They are both great players, but at the moment only Lampard is really in any kind of form. I think Rooney aside, not many of their top players are currently playing at the top of their game.
  8. It's not the first time that i've seen this type of post on a thistle forum. A sweeping generalisation of every single person that attends Scotland matches in a kilt. What exactly do you mean by the "more aggressive elements"? To my knowledge i've never met you, and you've never met me. I do, however, offer my sincerest apologies for causing you no end of embarrassment for wearing my kilt when attending Scotland games.
  9. With it looking likely that the SPL will be expanding the season after next, it puts more emphasis than usual on getting the budget right for next year. If the SPL were to expand it would mean 2 up next year, maybe even 3 and with the right choices made by both the board and the manager, we could definitely finish 2nd or 3rd next year. Obviously the flip side to this is that if league reconstruction were to happen, quite a few of the first division clubs would probably try and overstretch themselves in order to get promotion. I don't think we could realistically compete with that.
  10. I doubt that even if we had signed him, we wouldn't have got anywhere near £4m for him if we then sold him on. We'd have got roughly the same as Livingston, maybe a little more.
