  1. Could someone be so kind as to write out the words. Sounds brilliant, but its hard to hear it properly from where I sit in the JH. Must learn it for next year, but hopefully it can still get an airing on New Years Day.
  2. Merry Christmas to everyone. Have a great day! But spare a thought for those whose birthday this also is . Just spoke to my mum, wow, 43 years ago this day. She walked walked the earth during the 1971 cup final but never took me to the game. I only turned up at six minutes past midnight in Yorkhill in 1971. Scotland's second Christmas baby. Always the Bridesmaid.
  3. For all I care the Old Firm can have their life We have the soul, which is what matters
  4. I'd agree Higganbotham wasn't great today, but without that spark of creativity would we have unlocked their defence at all? As LIB says, we definitely should of gone on and got a second after getting in front, and it is pretty frustrating. However, I suspect we'd all have taken four points from the last two fixtures, so it all needs to be kept in perspective. Frankly, we are already well on the way to safety before Christmas. Normally you'd look at the forty point mark for safety, but with St Mirren and County's form that mark is surely likely to be lower this year. Top six may be a season too soon, but if we could aim to top the bottom six (remember all that cash we lost on the final day last season), and hang on to the nucleus of the squad I think next year could be interesting. I was absolutely frozen today. The frozen meat section in Morrison's on the way home was warm by comparison.
  5. I can't bear it either. It is just so tired and tedious. I don't mind when they actually talk about football, but have to switch off when they start trying to be funny. Boring, boring, boring, and needs to be retired once and for all.
  6. He used to post on here, may still do under a different name I'm not sure. Anyway I know his real name and it was read out on Radio Scotland. He sent in something about can you stop talking about Rangers and look at the really big result today. They sort of admitted it was true as well!
  7. Just superb! And well done to Erik for getting his comment on to the radio about them going on about Rangers instead of talking enough about our result.
  8. Not sure it was very wise of Jim Murphy to say in his acknowledgement speech that he has always dreamed of being the captain of a team in the East End. Isn't that half of Glasgow's votes gone? Or perhaps I am being overly serious.
  9. Burns couldn't of put it better.
  10. I agree he carries the look of a guilty man.
  11. Have worried about this comment all day. Can I clarify that I did not mean to imply that Jaggbunnet is in any way a facist, or believer in facism.. Far from it, I think he (or I suppose she!), has put forward plenty of positive and interesting ideas over the years.
  12. Mistake there, if we nuke them we'll take out ourselves as well. What we need is a cruise missile, but if I say anymore I'll get the website into trouble. One of the most horrible things about living in Whiteinch is that Rangers are my local team. I can see the ground, and the Southern General, outside of my back window. Just as well I was born in Kelvindale, well actually the hospital just over the Clyde from the place, which under the Bill can no longer have an appropriate name. But as Jags Fans we should understand why you don't want to be labelled. I thought the idea of our song about the roman catholics and the rest of it (banned now) was saying we don't care what you believe in, you can still follow the Jags. And McCoist is, was, doing a job like McNammara. And he shouldn't be labelled, he should be allowed some space to sort his head out. We clapped Neil Lennon on to the park when he was threatened. I'm no saying we should clap McCoist, but remember the goals for Scotland.
  13. I know its pretentious to quote yourself, but it reminded me of something. There is a bit in one of the early Irvine Welsh books, when he talks about meeting a Rangers fan and realising he has just understood and met the missing link. Couldn't put it better really.
  14. My neighbour just claimed he is Rangers answer to Jock Stein. I mean my neighbour is a junkie and out of his face all the time, but what about Walter Smith for that accolade. I hate the radio programme 'Off the Ball', or whatever its called. But someone was saying on it on Saturday that Ally doesn't look a well man, and I think that it true. Walk away. Everyone can see you have tried your best. I understand what Yoda Jag is saying, and it is true that we will soon see the back of them forever. Rangers will be buried with no dignity, but Ally can still walk away with some intact.
  15. Thanks, you have made me sound sane again. I have twice had the chance to play for the team. Once when they were all away to Dublin for that mental game where they play Irish rules, and once for the New Year Game, where its the old guys v the current team. I was brave and put my name forward for the New Year game last season, but I got banned from playing in it because I didn't know how to do the blocks properly. I know this thread is too strong, like some others I have done. But it is an expression of emotion that I don't really know where to put anywhere else. What I am trying to say is that I loved her, and I lost her. Thistle Fans are my people, and if I show too much then its only because you are the only friends who will understand. I'm sorry, but I will be back.
  16. But as a No voter, I think we got beaten. Perhaps it is just the weak place my head is in, but it was no victory for unionism. But we are walking towards you, and there will be no civil war. There must be no more bombers above Clydebank, and no more Bannockburns. We stole back the stone of destiny. But however it goes, Scotland must rid itself of Nationalism after this. I think we can agree on an agenda of social justice, and the reforms it will take. Lets put our childish things away, Nichola is right to say there must be a new approach, and sharing together in the ideas we all have. We are all Scots, lets get on with it.
  17. Because when you say you are right, and you are so sure, then that is facism if you smash up other peoples ideals. Liberalism stands for debate. UKIP and the SNP think they have the truth. They are both wrong.
  18. Couldn't agree with you more, but there has been a change of mindset. You can feel it on Dumbarton Road and the world has gone upside down. It is perhaps now more important, to defend our values against the facists of UKIP.
  19. Sorry about this folks Football can bring out emotion There have been things to deal with But they shouldn't have come out here Love the Jags to bits But Kingussie too One day we must carry the Cammanach Cup Down the Garscube Road
  20. I ran for the Lib Dems in Partick West in the council elections a couple of years ago. I can assure you I told no lies. I got beat, but any Lib Dem would of got beat. Not by much though.
  21. But it cannot be right to say that on one hand you care, and on the other hand you don't. I disagree with Jaggernauts politics too, but he is clearly a democrat. As Churchill said, it should be 'jaw, jaw', not 'war, war'. Speak out, argue, but the idea you can have opinions without taking responsibility at the ballot box doesn't work for me.
  22. This is not the beginning of the end It is the end of the beginning You left me on the railway line Chopped up under the wheels On the train back from Dingwall The collector asked for our tickets Eleven returns from Queen Street But we got off at Kingussie Under the Floodlights In the rain at Inverness The passion at Peterhead George Shaw at Parkhead Ross County away was our last one We stayed up but you were gone by then You disappeared into the mist I lost you on my compass
  23. Seabourne's beard has potentilal, but it could be longer As captain, he should be leading the way in beards The WG Grace of Firhill....
