  1. Hardly the most articulate and persuasive argument I have ever read on this forum.

Ok if his interpersonal interactions with some supporters on match days is reflective of his behaviour in the boardroom then that may explain the action

  2. You couldn't make this stuff up. Where's Taggart when you need him?

"haw sur, theres been a murder up Firhill way...."

    If not Taggart, then Bert?

dear oh dear we are begiining to make the OF seem positively sane and i suppose TH shot kennedy as well....

how about going for a simple explanantion JA didnt get on with his fellow board members so they voted hom off thats what BD said and it happens all the time....as has been alluded to here JA isnt with issues and as my son says 'hes a nutter that guy...'

  3. I don't know if Billy Allan had some connection to this thing or, if he did, whether it means much. Maybe, maybe not.

But we're in a situation where at the end of September the outgoing chairman was claiming with a straight face to the papers that his legacy was stability and in December we're led to believe (and I believe it 100%) that the club's very existence is in serious doubt if the fans can't rustle up £100,000 in about five months, at a time when most of us are seriously skint. Our future is still in jeopardy even if we do.

So rattle your cans and bring out the collecting buckets by all means, but there is no more important time than right now to be asking serious questions about anyone who wants to control the club's fate.

Billy Allan currently trying yo raise 150k for ptfc by the end of the season and one idea is for 150 people to invest £1000 each.....

  4. Comment of the weekend Lady B. :thumbsup2:

Maybe, for next time, Falkirk could take a good long hard look at themselves and think, why is our USH only 90%effective. And maybe, not put a load of pressure on a local ref to say game on.

I'm raging about this even though I wouldn't have made the game as I thought it was a great chance to get 3 points and ram it up Pressley. I can only imagine how raging the Jags fans are that made it all the way to Falkirk today.

The only silver lining is it will have cost Falkirk a decent sum of money. Get it up them!!!

Ok here is the reason..... The ush at falkirk is not a continous grid but made up of sections which have gaps between them hence 90% of the pitch is ok but these gaps are not this what McCall was alluding to, exactly the same thing caused the postponement if the falkirk v st johnstone game earlier in the yeaR and it will happen again ...so now you know !

  5. The other thread started regarding this indicates that it is a "potential" new away top.

Spanish regularly have three tops and this is unlikey to be an away top in the sense we understand it.... Valencia my team regularly have red and yellow stripes as their ' senyora' top and they are not part of spa ins old firm !!

  6. You inferred that the departing directors were people "who invest in the club". That's not true though is it.

As for whether or not we've gained anything - you just need to read the reserved sense of optimism that there might be a brighter future for Thistle again instead of what seemed like a slow descent to oblivion. Personally, I like 2 of the 3 departees and I wish them well but Allan Cowan making the kind of comments that he did on departure is moronic. These were guys who played a major part in rescuing the club the last time but if they don't accept that they are now responsible for the mess that we're in then they have no chance of any positive legacy.

Short version: stop defending them. They performed well initially and then seriously disappointed. The club is in a mess financially, the fans' morale was as low as I can ever remember it and we're bottom of the league. That responsibility lies at the door of those who administered the club to this point so leave with grace and with our thanks for the positive things that you did.

sorry dont get it....what were all these great alternatives?

  7. Goodness guys. Just chuck it and pull together as Partick Thistle supporters should be doing.

Back to the thread and celebrate the beginning of a new era.

Think on how each and everyone of us can contribute to the future of the Club wiyhout the point scoring squabbles. B)

eh celebrate what exactly? 3 directors leave doesnt sound like much of anything to me

  8. You're telling me messrs Cowan, Hughes and Prentice weren't barriers to progress? Their contributions, both financially and in terms of time, have been acknowledged elsewhere.

Are you also telling me that systematic failures don't mean a jot to you, and as long as someone's got a bit of green then we should continue to bend over and let me f**k us?

lets see the wonderful alternative.....i dont know why anyone would be a director all you get is abuse with no upside

  9. That could very well be the case, Kni. However, the three stooges were identified as barriers to progress. Getting shot of them is one small victory. We can celebrate that while gearing up for a bigger battle.

yes the more thistle fans who invest money in the club we can get rid of the better i mean its such a large number of people!

tom hughes has been trying to get off the board for years but it as a condition of the BANK and out borrowing that he stayed....i suspect the propoc deal has allowed that to be changed and he can now go
