That's what he's paid to do. IMVHO managers are paid to bullshit and players are paid to back up the bullshit with action on the park. It's a bit like flirting, though I'm not sure I'd like Ian flirting with me.

A wee birdie (well, a big one actually) told me the new home kit would be 'arty hoops'. There was also talk of a lime green away kit. However, that might have been goalie's kit. No idea what 'arty' is all aboot.

For this year see last year, maybe a couple of early signings then nothing until a couple of weeks before the new season starts. I'd expect Sid and Maxy back at Firhill in player-coach capacities. I think filling the goalie gig will be a headache unless Bryn is a patient man with deep pockets.

McManus was with Colorado Rapids two summers ago and did well enough. Wasn't there a rumour doing the rounds about his arrival at Firhill last year.

Fourteen teams playing 26 games then an eight-six split. That'll make an interesting league table come May. Only in the SPL. The trouble with sitting on two stools is that the sitter invariably ends up on their arsssssh. Fail.

I was never able to keep up with the big bugger. Shame we didn't travel to games together when DC was in charge - we'd have missed all the goals by the time we got to the ground and could just have pissed off back to the pub.

I can't comment on Blackpool Jag's situation but it must be as uncomfortable as his brother (I think) is late into games. Not sure I'd be comfortable as a Scot if some belligerent, pissed Englishman wants to pick a fight with a 'sweaty'. Then again, I've seen a fool in a kilt with a huge feather in his bunnet lecture a pal from down south on how bad the English are. Surreal.
