  1. Heres your dummy back. You dont have to be at a game to get the jist of how it went from reading the sources available. I know that Thistle took 76 minutes to score against the worst team of the division that we took 7 off of earlier in the season.
  2. He is/was one of the current crop of players. He is 'one of the boys', one of their mates. I have no doubt hes a good guy and I really, really liked him as a player at thistle especially in his first term. I just think its far too early/not the right time for him to take the job on. He is not their boss basically - thats why I think someone else could get better out of them.
  3. Haha Unfortunately comments on here, the official site and Pie and Bovril ( which I take with a huge pinch of salt) are all I have to go on right now. I may well be wrong and I really hope I am. I just don't see Archie getting the most out of the current players as another more experienced manager could.
  4. Far better counter argument than Clydebankjags "were you at the game". Im just slightly concerned about how convincing these wins were. I'm almost certain almost every jags supporter could have taken at least 7 from 9 out of the last 3 games. Hopefully I'll be proved wrong I just cant see archie giving these guys a bollocking when/if they need it, Can you?
  5. Since we're quoting... What would you call it? 2-0 up. Against rivals for the league title. In our most important to date match of the season so far and the game finished 2-2. Im sorry but that is throwing away a 2 goal lead, regardless of how you look at it.
  6. What I'm saying is that we have been completely unconvincing against teams we easily disposed of previously in the league. I reckon you or I could have taken at least 7 from 9 points out of the last 3 games, easily. Time will tell I suppose, but from my 'outside of the box' viewpoint I have some major doubts. I wilol be 100% happy to be proven completely wrong, but I just dont see it.
  7. Perhaps, and agreed looking at the points its a good start but far from convincing. Remember we've just scraped 1-0 wins against teams we won comfortably 4-0 and 7-0 against at the start of the season. We'd have taken a draw against Morton at the start of the match, but having been 2-0 up and throwing it away? I understand the boards thinking of needing some continuity and consistency however I think experience is going to be a major factor in this run in.
  8. I'm starting to doubt Archie to be honest. Ive been unable to attend any games this season as im in SE Asia right now but when he was 'appointed' I had real doubts. The problem I see with the appointment is that Archie seems to be one of the boys, and the problem i see with that is that he would fail to command 'real' respect from the players. Archie, no doubt is a great guy but I just dont see him getting the best out of the current crop of players due to him being so close to the players. Had roles been reversed and Thistle had been 2-0 down to Morton at Firhill las weekend could he have got the players going enough to get back to 2-2? I doubt it. Absolutely willing to give him more time, but from the comments and the text commentary thats been coming through Im not exactly overwhelmed by enthusiasm since he took over. In my opion we need to appoint an experienced manager with some know how in getting the best out of players. Especially at this stage in the season Just my thoughts though.
  9. Honestly scunnered by all the goings on with the club recently. I know so many people with the same frame of mind! Something needs to change! Thistle are literally gonnae end up a 2nd/3rd division team with a very poor support unless something drastic happens soon! Gutted that I'm feeling this way for the club I've supported all my life and defended all through high school, primary school and early working life!
  10. It's unreal the amount of fans that have lost interest over the last few years. I include myself in that. Until recently I'd try to go to every game I could possibly get to, but the incentives not there anymore, I'm sick of all of the things mentioned previously and don't see my interest returning untill we get rid of these guys who are clearly destroying the club. I would support any type of fan takeover etc, but as has been mentioned there doen't seem to be anything actually happening with that. Alot of people seem to want it but noone seems to want to do anything about it.
  11. Next season could be vitally important to us or at least more important than usual in that depending on where we finish in the league, could result in us going up from a league restructure. Obviously, winning the league would be ideal but I don't see it to be honest. Dundee will try and buy the league and there will be a couple of other teams with a higher budget than us as well. Realisticly I don't see us winning it unfortunatly, so where should we be aiming for? Where will we need to finish to be promoted from a restructure? I'd hope that the ambition would be to finish top 3, 4th wouldn't be a disater giving how we've finished this season.
