Such as?
Work on the stadium would take priority over another wide player who would be sitting on the bench while Fitz and Stevie start. We have enough backups for the rare occasions when one or other is not available. On field we need to shift an advanced midfielder and bring in a more defence minded one to get the balance right, but I don't see that happening and I think that the number of players is about right.
Edit to add - I assume that you did read this and appreciate the delicate financial position we are in. Wasting money on bringing in a player to sit on the bench is not a great idea.

Would still like to see another wide player added.
To sit on the bench ? Think we have better things to do with our money

More than a bit early to be starting a match thread. Bad omens come from it an I suspect we are now doomed.

What are the chances of all the 7 non-premier league teams avoiding each other ?

Very winnable

Watched along on iPlayer and very proud of the team. Fantastic achievement, I really hope to be able to see them in the final in March in the flesh
Great weekend all round for everyone at the club
If we get to see them in the flesh that would certainly increase the attendance !
Read that again and I think Derby Jag is in the flesh. Attendance has just evaporated

Where did you get the £28,000 gate receipts from mate?
He didn’t
£28k is the difference in prize money between losing to Ross and winning. He then says “plus gate receipts”

I was never much convinced by Rudden, but I suspect he was carrying an injury for much of his time with us. Anyway, not much fussed even if he does sign for Raith.
Cammy Kerr might be a useful addition to the defence. I still think we look a little light weight at the back and he has always looked solid when I’ve seen him.

surely they can be I.D.'d and made to pay for this (lifetime ban for starters)
The drummers or the ones that nicked it ?
(I think you missed a bad pun in the post you quoted)

Pathetic minute of highlights on Sportscene. Was there even time to consume one Pringle?

I timed it at 3 seconds to eat and swallow a Pringle, so I reckon 24 or 25 could be consumed in the highlights

Raith concede a late goal. Are the tides turning ?

Very interested to hear John Robertson saying on BBC that this thistle team could compete in the SPL. Nice to hear.
Think it says more about the lower reaches of the SPL

Dumbarton or Buckie at home please

Why could we not have done this 7 months ago

Decent enough side but disappointed Doolan didn't go with 2 up front, say Diack and Adeloye!
No idea what the score will be but will be surprised (and delighted) if we win this one.
I would be amazed if Doolan ever started with 2 up front. It is not his style.

Come on @Dick Dastardly have some hope! If I said we will be 3 up with 2mins to go, would that make the hat look more achievable?
I’d still be nervous. Having followed the Jags for 55 years I never take anything for granted

Cracking goal from Jimmy Craigan to level against the Tarts.

Well, it's a sore ground to be back at, but....New season/new players so let's get it right up them, and ram the scottish cup down their throats. Early goal and we should be in the hat for the next round. Play for the fans who have travelled bak up here, let's take the game to them and show no fear and win every 50/50.
Early goal last time didn’t do us much good. Certainly wouldn’t take it for granted that it would put us in the hat.

I want to see all keepers getting a move on, the ball is in play for a relatively small amount of time and I don't want to see a chunk of that with the keeper lying on top of it after taking a cross my elderly gran could have taken without hitting the deck!
That implies you also have a gran who isn’t elderly. How does that work ?

Just wanted to say that tonight’s game is a win-win. Either Aberdeen lose or McCall loses. What’s not to like ?

Why should he not be benched, better than BBG. Have all sat on the bench..If Dools does not have the testicals to do it, he's the one with the problem
Very rare for any manager to drop the captain if fit and available. Not unknown, but rare
