Prior to the jn called for suspension of the lower leagues our defence was rock solid. It was our ineffective midfield and non-existing attack that attracted criticism. Now we are scoring a few goals our defence is weak! So I ask what's changed?
it's just my opinion EJ - you don't win anything with a defence you could spit peas through - personally coming round to the realisation we're probably going nowhere this season - better to circle the wagons, consolidate where we are in the league and go full hammer and tongs next season - if no joy next season it should spark a total clear-out from top to bottom and potentially a move to part-time status

I’ll help out with spreadsheets and will look after the team selection envelopes - gratis. I would like a title though ... something like Director of Stationery.

It’s like a hot knife through butter looking at our fragile back line - any thoughts of success via playoffs to the championship are entirely fanciful where with the same squad wed get mauled on a weekly basis - to the glass half fullers, I raise my hauf empty glass - slàinte!

Ahh disappointing to hear boaby - have watched with interest over the past year or so your red ratings slowly turning green a couple of months ago and onto a positive rating of +13 - thought you were turning a corner - missed yer meltdown on Saturday - one non-alcoholic Stella too many was it?!
Take your wee sabbatical, get to know your inner bell end a bit better, then get yer cargoed up bandy wingers legs back on the forum.

Supposed to be up for The Playground Festival in Giffnock that weekend, all going well.
If Thistle are at home however.....
better line up at that this time round - 2019 line up wasn't up to much - I'll be in Troon at SLF on 31st all going well so should make a home opener before going doon the coast

it's our year in the Scottish Cup - 1921-2021 - never bet against the Jags (famous last words)

Agree & was surprised when he was substituted. A midfielder who can take the ball & run at the opposition, something we lack. Understand he can also play left back/left wing back
... another Zanatta who may flutter to deceive ... if we sign him, he could invest his signing on fee in the stork market

They are, quite simply, the two teams LEAST likely to ever give a chance for youth to break through to the first team.
Nothing better to sweeten the deal than by offering struggling lower league teams a bit of guilt free cash.
As the SFA/SPFL are a member led organisation, I'm sure they will listen to the membership and have undertaken due diligence and detailed planning of this proposal. I would like to read it - anyone got a link to the finer details?

I'm sure 2/3/4 games a season will be just fine!
you spotted my deliberate mistake per week of course

Amateur teams with miniscule squads and walking wounded always manage 2/3/4 games a season traditionally at this time of year (caused by continual winter postponements) ... I’m quite sure that if the amateurs can manage then the so-called professional part time/full time teams will be just fine.

What’s wrong with re-instating a functional reserve league set up?
Why the hell should only two teams be allowed to develop their youth?
This stinks to high heaven.

I see our relationship with the SFA/SPFL cabal as akin to a bunch of residents in a Glasgow tenement building.
Every month the tenants and owners blindly pay their factors fees to some bunch of charlatans who “manage” the close for them and always manage to get the most expensive quote for any work required doing (probably getting some dodgy back hander for giving the work out to specific companies) ...
- clean out your gutters? ... that’ll be £920 you mugs split 8 ways
- coat of white paint above the tiles in the close? ... that’ll be £1200 you mugs split 8 ways
- couple of ridge tiles loose on roof? ... that’ll be £1350 you idiots split 8 ways
etc
Just as some residents have done in sacking their factors and running the building themselves, if Scottish clubs had any balls, then they would get together and end this abusive and counterproductive relationship, set up their own league and alternative cup tournaments and tell the old factors to GTF.
Until then it’s just another Groundhog Day.

Rangers fans gathering outside Ibrox today. Will comeback for leagues 1 and 2 be cancelled on Monday, to show football fans they should not be breaking covid regulations.
They must be giving out free soap so the unwashed hordes are gathering ... smellik fans will be over soon too for a wash.
Likelihood of any repercussions on the FTOF = nil.
The h*n fans are just copying their players actions after all.

Another SFA decision that shows zero care for clubs outside of the top 2 leagues.
I believe Huntly, Formantine, Buckie Nairn and Fraserburgh are still in that competition but there is no indication their leagues will return. How will they play their ties? What happens to their spot? Have Montrose just made it into the 4th round? How do Montrose compete in the 4th round when at best they may only have returned for a couple of weeks? How do the league 1 and 2 clubs compete if they have had only a couple of competitive games prior to their ties?
I'm sure the SFA has figured this all out and haven't just declared a date to ensure the Final gets played before the Euros....
of course the slippery ones have figured it all out ... get the diddy teams either not fulfilling their ties in the Scottish cup (likely in the case of Highland/Lowland league & quite possibly L2 teams) and get the other diddies pumped right back out due to lack of fitness and preparation ... it’s just another year, just another tarnished tin cup.
