  1. Not being there I can't comment on how bad we actually were, but we did beat one of the title challengers and a team flush with cash last week. Whether that was an anomaly or just an indication that we're the same as always (great one week, pish the next) remains to be seen. Roll on Cowdenbeath cause it's the last game I'll get to for a while and I've never been there! Oh, and another scarf for my collection
  2. It's difficualt to state that this is the 'worst ever' when Slippers is still an all too recent memory.
  3. Perhaps he simply preferred the what? Two, three times more money he's probably on up there, rather than actually get first-team football.
  4. The best test for us will surely be the Dundee game? Last year early doors we played them off the park (as admitted by the Dee fans after the game) and were still gubbed two-nil. Let's see how much they've improved and far we've deteriorated... I remember that season we started off quite well - things are looking good - then matched up against Falkirk at Firhill - and were promptly taught a lesson 1-4. They went on to win the league, while we... er well, nevermind.
  5. Just have a swatch for the seats carved from ivory!
  6. I think there's a queue of prospective replacements lining up outside Firhill already... *rolls eyes* Let's just try to enjoy the season, it'll more than likely be our last.
  7. "More than 1000 fans" aye right, there was at least 800,000 there.
  8. Helps that Lecce got someone slightly better looking than Simon Donnelly to model it!

Anyone sampled this new Hugh Tennents pish that I've seen advertised around the shop?
  10. There's no way our new shirt belongs on that list - there are some true honkers there (Hibs *boak*), but especially that Liverpool effort... are they preparing for a terrible season with a terrible top?
  11. It's a shame we can't figure out a nice plain and simple shirt when it seems both of the great unwashed can do it this year. Stripes, all the way round with a proper collar, please. Like the 1996 shirt.
  12. Glasgow's near Edinburgh - Left off Princes Street you can't miss it...
  13. Or the Lennon Stand, the McConologue Stand, the Brannigan Stand... we'll have to change it every week!
  14. The Hoor just does what The Hoor does best. At least it was a nice day out to start the season... not like this year anyway
  15. It can't be easy to get confused about Glasgow's cinemas these days, can it? After all, there is only one left! And it's the really tall ugly building right slap bang in the city centre.
  16. Aye, I'm sure Rangers can punt a couple of duffers our way to stink up Firhill a bit more.
  17. If Scotland were there we wouldn't be blathering on about winning the fecking competition. What's pathetic is this team of media labelled 'champions' playing keep the ball against Slovenia... I mean, there's 'pundits' on the radio discussing them now beating Spain, Brazil, Germany... AYE RIGHT
  18. To be fair Dick "Richard" Campbell, should be censored for our collective peace of mind.
  19. Massive LOLs, but the paroxysm of despair down south is somewhat understandable... that performance was so poor you'd be fecked off with it at Firhill. David James' comments afterwards spoke volumes; not only does it point to some serious discontent with the manager, this whole 'name the team five minutes before getting on the team bus' is really being shown to be a nonsense. I wonder if Crapello did the same thing during the qualifiers. William Hill's odds: England 2/5 to beat Slovenia, with 6/1 to lose.... worth a flutter?
  20. LOL maybe that gubbing will quieten down the horrible noise of these things. Who wants to listen to crowds singing, reacting to the action on the pitch, BUILDING AN EFFING ATMOSPHERE when we can just have a constant irritating drone for ninety minutes? This tournament has been dire so far and these ersetrumpets are only contributing to the butthurt.
  21. Any found in Firhill will be shoved somewhere uncomfortable.
  22. Having been with the home crowd for the Stirling vs Auchinleck Talbot Scottish Cup game last season, I was surprised at the amount of abuse and moaning coming from the home fans. I suspect any stranger at any game will pick up on the negativity regular home supporters learn to tune out.
