Why the big price hike between the games , £19.. more vs Montrose for a few bits of curry???

I’ve heard it for 5 wins in a row. I also suspect it is poker related
I remember it being used in newspaper headlines when a team scored 5 in a game for example "Jags go Nap" after a 5-0 win

both extended for a further 3 years …..new strip next week
Out of likes. Been impressed withe the O'Neills range and Greaves is a good partner.
It would be great if the club and Greaves could arrange a pop up shop at Firhill to improve the range in the current shop

Nations Cup has been a big improvement IMHO
Agreed LLD . I would rather watch competitive games either domestic or international. I think the issue that concerns me is the number of games players are expected to play in a season (IMO driven by the money gods!) But that is a whole new thread...

League Cup was brought forward to reduce pre season friendlies so crowds would be higher and players perform at a higher level
iirc the same argument was put forward when the nations leagues were introduced by FIFA. More competitive internationals and fewer friendlies with the added bonus of an additional route into Euros

As legally, public holidays can count as part of annual holiday entitlement, many didn't have that option.
My work chose to ignore it business as usual for us.

BBC reporting Andy Firth has left Rangers. At 25 he's still young for a keeper, would he be a decent addition as competition for Sneddon?

Fair enough - you don’t like the establishment. However, I am pretty sure the “ordinary people” are delighted to be recognised for what they do out of the “ordinary”.
I find the whole system an embarrassing, class ridden throwback and handing out awards named after something that doesn't exist except in the minds of Daily Mail readers and Nigel Farage sadly pathetic. It wouldn't be overly complex to modernise the honours and recognise the contribution of individuals to society with a single ctizenship award.
It will never happen although I wonder what might happen in an independent Scotland.

Genuine question what's a 'good proddie' and I guess the follow up what's a 'bad proddie'

In general yes, but there are some exceptions. Leverkusen & Wolfsburg were initially started as works teams for Bayer and VW respectively. This historical deviation from the 50 + 1 rule is still in place. Also the likes of RB Leipzig have such a financial structure in the background that it is very difficult (and expensive) to become a member with voting rights.
Thanks for clarifying GJ. In practice do you feel that the two ex-works teams you name have an advantage by not being included in the 50+1 rule? Trophies and titles would indicate not but that's a narrow view of success!

Response from the club re next seasons kits:
Hi Iain
Thank you for your message.
We expect to launch the new kit towards the end of June.
Obviously we hope to make the launch as interesting as we can for fans therefore I am unable to provide you with any further information at this time.
Keep an eye on our website/social media.
Regards

That's the Arrow kit I remember. Colours are definitely too pale but darker red and yellow with a black round collar and cuffs, white shorts and 60's style red socks with yellow turnovers and a black hoop. Maybe I'm getting too nostalgic! Those old kits looked so much better without all the logos and advertising plastered everywhere!

Every team in the championship takes 3-4 players on loan (as do the majority in the prem). It reflects the clubs' finances &, if we didn't, we would be severely disadvantaged. That's the sad fact.
We also send some of the older academy players out on loan as part of their development. Think it was 3 or 4 last season. I would rather they stayed and played in a reserve /B league but that was scrapped because clubs couldn't afford the extra wage bill and other running costs. Nowadays unless you are one of the ugly sisters or hearts, running a B team is cost prohibitive.

Need to get a decent club shop back at firhill
Did we ever have a decwnt shop at Firhill? Problem is finding somewhere to put it. Can't think of any space in the main stand that would do the job. Might be room in the JHS but access is an issue.
