  1. There's a Nigerian Prince who emails me, he seems to know how to move money...
  2. I'm in too £20 for me and £20 for my nephew who doesn't know he owes me!
  3. This. Clearly the Club's lobbying to be allowed to sell alcohol inside stadiums has forced the SFA and government's hands but I can't see us ever being allowed to have a drink in our seats. IIRC in England the same restrictions apply i.e. no watching the game with a pint. In Menorca earlier this year I watched a match in their regional league entry was €7 (sit in the stand or wander round the pitch for a place to watch.) €2.50 for a small beer €4 for a big beer. Chose a seat in the stand as it was hot & sunny. Standard of football wasn't great but for €11 it was a great afternoon out!
  4. the joma stuff felt and looked cheap and nasty, a real let down after the puma stuff. O'Neills is a bit edgier (the shirt with the map of Maryhill map was a great idea)
  5. Such sad news but also thankful that Robert chose Thistle (or did Thistlechoose him!) and did so much for so many years. Legend is much overused these days but is most fitting for Mr Reid.
  6. According to TTA, sadly Charlie died in Australia around 2004 in his mid 50s. http://www.thethistlearchive.net/charlie-smith
  7. It will go quiet until we win or lose a few games on the bounce & be resurrected by those saying the appointment was visionary or a disaster depending on the results.
  8. Memories of the 1st division champions in our centenary year. I like it.
  9. Because that's how the recruitment process works as I'm quite sure you know. Graham was offered & he rejected it...hardly strange if Falkirk offered him more money as a player.
  10. Why do you doubt it? Im sure all the candidates would have had a job spec in clouding reporting lines and key performance indicators before they were interviewed so they can weigh up the pros and cons of the role.
  11. To the Friday night...apparently at the request of both clubs. Wonder what's on at meadowbank on the Saturday?
  12. Agree, to me its like buying a sweepstakefor the Derby or Grand National but not expectingto win (nice though it would be!). Maybe more 'priceless' prizes like invitation to training sessions, travel with the team, match tickets (transferable if the winner is a ST holder)...
  13. Congratulations to the three that topped the poll and commiserations to the others. To fill the vacancy it would seem sensible to co opt Davie Brown until the next round of elections.
  14. I assume he meant he would find it difficult to step back into the Thistle dressing room...I.e. go back to being a player, not head coach or player/head coach
  15. Think I saw May signed permanently at Livi
  16. Happy to see any of the teams with plastic pitches relegated perm 2 from 3...
  17. Odds on the handover being completed after the honeymoon? 😀
  18. I'm assuming he will identify targets (recruitment) the SD will be responsible for dealing with agents, negotiating the contracts etc. As far as playing style I see it as a shared responsibility with Wilson setting the overall plan ant the Academy coach tasked with coaching/training to the remit and the SD doing oversight to see the plan is being implemented.
  19. Went on loan to Arbroath
  20. Thought generally he was ok when he played. The keeper celtic released (bain?) could be a decent back up. He has more experience although he's barely played in their top team. Could be 2 good options
  21. According to the OS apart from loan players those with contracts expiring this summer are,: Mitchell, Kelly, Muirhead, Bannigan and Jakubiak. The rest are contracted to 2026 or 2027. Realistically which players should Wilson & Barraclough be looking to bring in and shift out either on loan or agree a release deal?
  22. Think the SSB question was asked simply so he could confirm he wouldn't be working for them outside his 'day job'.
  23. Out of likes for the day but this is the best post on the forum for a very long time. It also shows that it could be a place where good things happened, not just somewhere keyboard warriors fought their often mindless battles. Rest easy Robert.
  24. The first bit of good news on this topic for a while imo.
