  1. Bad times. I applied a couple of days ago for a concession season ticket now that I am nearly 63, retired, and on a moderate pension. Alas my application seems to have caused a response from the club on the official site. I expect my application will be returned( hopefully along with my paypal payment). Since my income is now much lower now I am not inclined to pay the full rate for a season ticket. I suppose I will just have attend fewer games and choose my home matches.

yeah under 16s are free for eveyone but you need to be 65 if you're a guy or 60 for women to get a concession season ticket, my dad has already retired and he is 56, surely retired means retired whatever age you are?

  2. so what's the point? Is it beyond folk to maybe say why they think so and so a player was a "bad yin"?

Don't get me wrong I'm grateful that we have a new website. I just feel it could with developing the plot somewhat and that's entirely up to the posters.

just hearing some of these guys names sends enough shudders down my spine never mind trying to explain what they did, or probably didnt do!

alan russell - full time model, part time footballer, nuff said

i think the least said about some of the afore mentioned the better

  3. I'm starting to have serious doubts about this website  . Can folk not lighten up a fraction or so? The original post was fine but does it have to be taken so f***in' literally?

Could maybe somebody add something even slightly interesting on why so and so was so bad? Just naming players that did hee haw for us is kinda pointless.

i dont think people will have to explain why some of those guys were so bad!

  4. And so your tiresome anti McCall crusade continues. <_<

Compaed t a lot of the otehr Thistle Managers we have had over the last 25 years or so his signings have not been that bad.

all of they signings have been torture, its hardly an anti mccall crusade

  5. If I remember correctly Russell did score one peach of a goal at New Broomfield or the Shyberry Excelsior, whatever its called.

Wasn't there an Irish full back, the bunnet signed, who was truly awful and had to go off in a game due to the bizarre reason of breathing in some mud?

Could Jim Slavin not be called one of the poorest signings ever? Amusing maybe, but speedy not!

did he not only score once for us at livi? 14 games and 1 goal according to wikipedia

  6. I think the Alan Russel and Stevie Nicholas mentions are unfair. Definately Vitislav Mooc - he was truly rubbish. Didn't touch the ball in his 2/3 appearances. I mean that literally. He didn't touch the ball in that game at Dunfermline. Paul Ritchie also. Jorge Cadette and Stevie Bones were truly terrible.

i take it you mean stephane bonnes there aye?

alan russel was pure pish man

  7. how many fans do you think we will take down? I think we'll take a decent support as we've never been there before and its a decent wee trip down for the fans.

it would be quality if it was like the lancaster game where we just went down and 'took oor ra place'!

was having a think about staying down in Annan after the game, has anyone got any recommendations on where to stay?

had a look at the train prices on thetrainline.com aswell and its £78 return for 3 adults

    train times for anyone interested

leaving ggow central - arriving at annan

    09.40 - 11.48

    10.12 - 13.15

    11.40 - 13.48

leaving annan - arriving at ggow central

    17.33 - 20.01

    19.19 - 21.17

    20.48 - 23.04

  8. Game with nothing to gain, really. We win and we're expected to do it, we lose and they'll be casting it up for decades. At least it means the pre season friendly will be cancelled.

yeah it probably will be cancelled, it was due to be played sat 17th july, we might end up with an away day yet......

  9. Away to Annan in one and away to Elgin in the other to complete my set of seeing Thistle play at all Scottish senior football grounds.

was the 1st round of the challenge cup not regionalised or split between east and west sections or something or am I talking a whole loads of BS?

wouldnt mind an away day trip to annan, elgin or brechin(would have to be in the cis cup as they finished 4th in 2nd div) cos I've never been to any of their grounds, I've been to berwick but it would be a good day out, would be like a pre season away day

that just leaves cowdenbeath in the league then st mirren in the cup for all scottish stadiums to be ticked off!
