Come out and take the game to them and get the first goal please Jags. then keep a clean sheet! Fancy Fitzy for another goal tomorrow along with BBG. Does anyone know the situation with Dowds, if Ayr don’t make the playoffs will he then be eligible for us in the playoffs or not?
Sounds like Penrice is out for them as he needs a minor op. Alston in for Scotty Dog, I assume BBG will be back in for Tomi but I’d stick with Tomi and see how he gets on.
Can’t be changing a team who won 4-0 last week. Need to watch out for Strapp’s throw ins, they are like missiles. 2 hattricks in a row from Muirhead then Oakley in their last 2 games, let’s not make it a hattrick of hattricks against the Partick, unless it’s Aidan Fitzpatrick.
Think I read the hospitality was sold out for this one so got to think we’ll be doing all we can to get it on, plus we’re on a decent wee run and the crowd from a Saturday will be better than a re-arranged midweek game. Will be interested to see how we play with Adeloye up, he really needs to take his chance here.
I’d take Alston from Killie who is out of contract. Maybe Robinson can have a word with him. Good midfielder, won the league with Killie a few seasons back. He’s saying he feels he can still do a job in the Premiership or a good Championship team.
I hated the jester kit under the bunnet but it brings back memories of Peterheid! Worst away kit was this one, basically a Joma training top with our badge on it, plus John Baird modelling it!
Do you have a record of teams Thistle have relegated? We relegated Stranraer in the playoff before Peterhead, I’m sure we’ve relegated Stirling Albion twice, possibly the Lindau game included? Also sent Dumbarton down in the 3-2 game over there when we were 2-0 down, I think that was the game before we played Stranraer in the playoffs. cheers!
Thought we would get gubbed today, well done to all the fans, players and management team for getting a great win. So Dools has beat his former club, Ayr, can he beat another former club in Arbroath next week? Enjoy yer night troops!
I wonder if Doolan knew he would be taking over the team while commentating on the game for Sportsound or if he’s just had a phone call right after the game asking if he can take over? I’m a bit surprised he has said yes to be honest, I thought he would just want to keep his head down in the background and not involve himself in this mess we’re in, on and off the park. Ah well we go again next week, at least the Ayr fans won’t hate us as much now and they can bin their wee tinpot rivalry they thought they had with us!
