I think that was his first touch that led to the goal - and I think your maybe being a wee bit harsh.
I thought all of the youngsters looked better than 12, or 6 months ago and that is encouraging. I'm not looking for a superstar to emerge from the youth set up, but if we could get a couple of guys that can make a living in the game, that would be good. None of the current crop looks like the next Kevin "Mad Dog" McGee...
Rovers were tactically miles ahead of us, defended as a team 4-5-1 and attacked quickly 4-3-3. We din't have a single player that can see a pass and make it before the front two are offside (and at time the overlapping players too), but Sid at no.10 could make a difference. Rowson was our most creative player last night - good for him, not so good for us.
On the plus side, we weren't really threatened by a better team for most of the game and we held onto the ball. We shouldn't be too embarrassed this year.
