  1. Sorry to state the obvious, but Scotstoun has a running track because it is an athletics stadium/venue. Athletics is a participation sport for many more kids and adults than Rugby and is a pillar of GCC/NHS Glasgow health strategy. Pitch size is therefore determined by the track. There are other rugby venues all over Glasgow that could be (or could have been) adopted and adapted for Glasgow Rugby. Scotstoun is by no means a done deal. Re the Red & Yellow rugby shirts, isn't that West of Scotland?

  4. If this excitement adds 300 to the crowd, then good stuff. Have you been away, or have I not been watching posts closely enough? Welcome back.
  5. Good point. Not sure about the comparison though.
  6. Archie was in the gym again this morning as per during the injury lay-off. Not lifting anything heavy, looks fit and mobile, but not stressing the knees. Didn't look like a guy considering retirement, but I've been wrong before.

You could ask my ex wife. She's into all that Brand New Heavies, Lighthouse Family shlock.
  8. I would have said, but I got my job when I turned up (early) at 7.45. Also, I did think that you (and a lot of others) would be long gone by 8am...Final riders were heading out at 10.30 and the delayed start was put down to issues with Edinburgh. Sorry it wasn't a total success this time out, but as you know, that hill after the Avonbridge stop is tough at the best of times...
  9. Okay you win. There was no childish name-calling.
  10. Assuming that the chairman would happily stand down if a suitable alternative could be found, I suggest that those interested in forcing his hand put themselves forward. I'm afraid I'm not qualified for the role, but I'll be interested in any responses. Over to you fans. Let's find out the depth of this pool.
  11. I don't deny anyone the right to protest, or to criticise and I agree the the response was less than professional. BUT, if we can only really name-call then what sort of response do you expect? Again, I agree that the response was very poor, but I think that Cowan is simply living down to our expectations now.
  12. Okay, I'll revise that to: email the chairman, tell him he's performed like a fud...etc
