Many if not most here were pleased with our recruitment last summer, and it ended up a disaster. Hopefully this will be the other way round.

After Dundee last week it can't get any worse

I wonder if Coulibaly had a wee word in Wishart’s ear to see if he could help his situation!

Hopefully it will all be sorted out before Saturday. Either way I will be in Dundee with my son and grandson. All this with Coulibally is a distraction we don't need. It is just great to see exciting young players like Fitzpatrick and Penrice doing so well. They are our future and hopefully many more will follow. Also I agree with LIB in that our new defensive midfielder must have played alongside some very good Belgium players in his youth.  He looks big and powerful in the video clips.

I was debating the link between the transfer fee and the fine FIFA imposed - not whether he was right or wrong in what he did.

FIFA imposed the fine. Ask them why it is 1.2m. My interpretation is it is the transfer fee.

If they had paid the £1M to Coulibaly I would agree but they paid Killie.

Coulibally signed a 3 and a half year contract. Perhaps he should have done his homework on Egypt instead of looking at dollar signs.

A replacement is relevant as I explained ie if Al- Ahly were out of pocket. You are assuming that the transfer fee was included in any contract that Coulibaly signed.

They paid about 1m for Coulibally why would they not be entitled to their money  back. If I bought faulty goods I would want my money back. They paid the transfer fee in good faith and are entitled to not be out of pocket because he doesn't like Egypt.

  6. Someone in the board should be holding an inquiry into what the security and police were doing at the turnstiles. I remember my daughter who was about 7 at the time having a 500ml plastic bottle of water taken off her as it was declared ad a potential weapon. Clearly no excuses why Celtic supporters were allowed to bring in glass bottles and flares. I would call the security and police cowards.

  7. I saw my first game in 1952 aged 4 my father and grandad took me to every game. I feel like I have lost a close family member. David McParland was my hero. I have never felt so angry when he was no longer wanted by Thistle. Rest in peace sir you were truly my hero.

That's surely a mismatch. A wide player cutting in and shooting at goal? Lawless every time, tried and tested. Lawless cutting in from the right trumps Storey cutting in from the left. But if Wee Stevie was made to play out left (as he too often had to do to compliment Spittal) then I may just prefer Storey in that position. Anyway a rather theoretical opinion as we released one player and we're trying to offload the other.

Strange that Lawless hasn't found a club yet. I assumed he'd  have found one in the top tier or down South.  I'll fail to see the logic If he turns up at another club in our division. Unless of course we're going to sign some super duper wide player.

Lawless would want the same wages he was on last season, it's not going to happen unless he is prepared to do a Doolan or Erskine. Let some other team pay him what he thinks he is worth.
