Yep - it's true! We're holding a launch night this Thursday (16th) at The Brass Monkey for our new drinks list. As such, there will be free booze getting dished out in the name of sampling! So far, we'll have free... Estrella Damm draught, cocktails, wine, Budvar bottles, St Mungo bottles plus much more! All we ask is that you fill in a flyer with email etc to get a free drink! Simples! Kicks off about 5pm for the after work brigade, live band - The Easy Orchestra - at 7pm then a DJ for the rest of the night. Will be some munchables too. Hope to see a few of you there! If anyone mentions Cowdenbeath or Stirling Albion you're getting flung out...

Good news! Glad you like it! Hoping to do it monthly, but no date for next one as yet! Will post on here when it's coming up - look for the pub on Facebook (The Brass Monkey Glasgow) and you can keep up with all the deals etc.

Disagree - HD does make a big difference! We've got two boxes in the pub - one HD and one not. When there are two games on at once and one is HD and one isn't you totally notice it! Sky expensive, but unfortunately it's the best service available. If you like Spanish footy (I do) it's well worth it! Don't bother with the films though!

Just to let you all know that The Brass Monkey is now selling St Mungo lager & Hefeweizen wheat beer fro WEST at £2.95 and £3.50 respectively. Good value!

Funny you should ask... We've got Castle Lager from South Africa for £2.50 a bottle for the duration of the World Cup! It's pretty tasty! We may also come up with some other bits n bobs by then too - worth joining our FACEBOOK page to keep up to date!

Ah well, nearly right! What about Pedro's 'no pass' to Torres? Shocker. Especially when you consider me and my mate had £20 on Torres to score! Raging when he came on with 10 to go! Do coaches not know that their actions can really screw up chances of winning for simple punters like me?!?

Sunday 18th July we're having a Bank Holiday Party at The Brass Monkey! We've gonna have some drinks promos on, tasty food and a live band - The Easy Orchestra! They played my wedding and were very good - first time I've seen a crowd demand an encore at a wedding! I'll post further details soon, but it should be a good laugh and with no work the next day (for some) another reason for a Monday hangover! Cheers!!!!

After another woeful performance against Paraguey, do you think Spain will drop Torres for the German game? So far they look like they've been playing with 10 men and if they do that against this German team they'll be hammered! They looked so much better the other day when Fabregas came on. Anyway, I'm supporting them to win it cos they play in red n yella!

Not on this Thursday - going to start it as a monthly thing and see how it goes. Anyway, we're putting the sound on for the World Cup, so not much rockin' to do then! The Red Stripe was only for the Rock night (and the 2 days before for licensing reasons), but we do have other promos on - Pint Estrella Damm £3.00, Absolut & mix £2.00, small glass wine £2.50. Also, for the World Cup we have Castle Lager from South Africa for a mere £2.50 which is pretty good as you can't find it anywhere! Outside good - tv works well and the beer garden is great if the weather is nice. Half close your eyes and you could be in Barcelona - until you hear some jake wandering by saying 'look at the mess they made of the Two Ways' etc...

Sadly not... The air guitar competition for the Sonisphere tix was a hoot tho! Good night and will probably become a regular thing.

Got some cracking giveaways - £100 Custom Inc tattoo vouchers, Orang micro guitar Amp, concert tickets (to be confirmed, but will be AWESOME for rockers...) and some Jagermeister stuff. Yep - it will be on Kent Road side. The sun gets it from about 2pm right through - which is a total result!!! The screen is gonna be on a trolley so it can change angle etc. Also I've convinced the wife that we should spend a wee bit extra on a good tv, so it's going to be LED which I believe will work very well with glare - and after the summer it will look very nice in my living room... Don't know about anyone else, but I really can't wait for the World Cup!!!

Well, search no more! The wheels are in motion (guys coming tomorrow to do cabling - gonna be proper HD, so no dodgy picture here!). It will only be out in good weather though as I think a permanent outdoor telly looks awful! I'm trying to find some promo drinks from Algeria & Slovenia at the moment...

Not yet, but I'd imagine it will do if it rains. Coming soon - outdoor telly (not permanent) for the World Cup! Get nasty sunburn and watch England 'almost' win it - and have a right few drinks! Superb!
