If you are on a fixed term contract and the employer pays you what you would be due (i.e. remainder of contracted wages/salary) from the contract, I don't see how the employee could argue against that. Happens all the time in football. I'm not saying it's right but if he got the monies due the he can't complain really. He can take the time to find a new contract. I wouldn't like Thistle to do that to Welsh though.

I agree his lack of club football is surprisingly low, especially considering all his international caps. However, he displaced Emilio Izaguirre for second half of Ecuador game and the entire Switzerland game. If he can push Izaguirre out the team then that is a good sign too.

Could be a very good loan deal! The guy doesn't appear to have featured for Wigan's first team but was still in the Honduras team (had about 34 caps in total) in Brazil. He was on the bench vs France, played the second half against Ecuador and he played the whole match against Switzerland. He is 26 and apparently 6' 2". Fingers crossed!

Terry Butcher is also at a loose end just now, maybe he is the very experienced and hard centre back that we are looking for?!

However, if he can prove he is fit and he can still move with more mobility than an Edinburgh Tram, he could be worth a deal for a year. Plenty experience to help organise and guide our defence. Quite cool and obviously different. Would have looked a bit classier with black or grey/silver socks with some pink detail or trim. The pink socks make the whole strip a little much imo. I do like the top though.

Ratnamara just signed him up for 2 years. He sounds like what we need, experienced and solid/aggressive apparently.

Last I heard, we had said he was welcome to join us pre-season, prove his fitness and he would be offered a deal. Ozzy was clear that he wanted to be down south with his family though. He will probably come to us if he doesn't get an acceptable offer nearer home. Way his injuries/fitness has been, he may well be looking to us for a contract.

I think they got an investment from the Texan businessman last season, around £650k, maybe money is coming from him.

They are certainly building a sizeable squad, should have plenty depth for rotation and injury cover. The cash is once again flowing at Dens Park obviously.

All very true actually. Only really Dundee have made a lot of moves so I shouldn't be in a panic, most of our rivals are in the same position.
