15 goals in 163 games so not exactly the big tall goal scoring striker we were looking for. Has impressed in the past however and would be a good acquisition to our squad. Check out his goal for Well v Hibs on YouTube - absolute cracker!

Just watched the game again having sky+ it last night. Got to say im pretty pleased with that performance. If we play like this during the season we wont even be in the relegation fight come May next year. Surprised Archie stuck with last seasons squad with no place for either Osbourne or Kerr so it looks like most of the new guys are going to be fighting for a place each week which cant be a bad thing. Thought the boy frazer looks like a good wee player and yet again that back 4 kept up there great form and didnt lose a goal, though there were a few shaky moments. Unfortunate not to get at least one penalty and butcher couldve had a straight red for either of his challanges! Overall good start to the season against a team that should be top 6 come the end of the season. Great Thistle support aswell - Firhill actually looks not too bad on the TV and you could here us throughout the match.

On the official site under matchday info - admission prices. It previously mentioned a limited number of free under 16 tickets for away fans and a fiver for the rest - it's now been changed and mentions nothing about free tickets and that the charge for this age group is £5 (main stand only) I also noticed the bit about prices and arrangement changing for all ticket matches (I.e Celtic) Does this mean that prices will be put up a few quid for both home and away fans the same way it is at Rugby Park and a few other grounds when that mob and their horrible followers visit?!

Late 2 goal comeback at Airdrie! The belief in the team running back to the centre circle after the equiliser was superb. Also holding on for a point at Crappilow after going down to ten men - definetaly a key moment.

Two more decent signings there. Well covered in midfield now - just hope we can get another sticker in to add to all our signings then I'd be more than happy with all of Archie's summer spending spree.

I was in the office the day of the annan game and heard them talking about it being broken then!

Forbes will be in the starting eleven most weeks. He has the skill, through balls and set piece skills all to Assist goals for us. Depends on injury's through the season however and guys like mukendi, McDaid and craigen may also get a run in the team. I still think we could do with extra defensive cover, another midfield option and an extra striker to challenge dools - having him and craig competing for a place in the team last season helped both of their form when they got back into the team. Ideally having new players signed up ASAP will help but there is still plenty of time for us to get a few in before the start of the season or even after it has kicked off. After we pump utd on the Friday night to go top of the league any decent player without a club will want to sign for us!!!

Its not, but when you look at players missing today along with trialists playing etc I wouldnt look too much into it. Historically I cant remember us ever doing too well in pre season games, with the exception of last year!

Think I read somewhere that its just the top two divisions.

When i bought my season ticket i knew there would be games getting switched to fridays, saturday 12:30 & 5:15, sundays and mondays but i still bought it even in the knowledge that i wouldnt make all the games. The club can do nothing about these changes - its just one of the many downsides of playing top league football along with being moved for the celtic game. Nowt we can do about any of this but i do agree that it is crap for those who miss out on these games. Going on posts here and elsewhere the crowd could well be a few hundred lower than if it was on the sat afternoon so the club is losing out aswell as the fans!

Whether they moved the game to a friday, sunday or monday it was always going to affect people differently. Im going to have to swap some shifts in work now which hopefully wont be a problem but i can understand the frustration of those who cant change shifts or have to change their travel plans in order to make it to the match. I was also meant to be taking my boy to the game but im sure he's going to get a late night pass so he can still go - no school the next day so not a problem as its a one off (or two off!) We are in the 'big boys' league now and unfortunately it comes with problems like this but we just need to get on with it cause its gonna be like this all season!

Would have though he would be training down south just now if we were thinking about signing him. A twat off the park but if he could do a job on it I'd take him on a pay as you play basis to start off with and take it from there.

Excellent - we get to f*** Jackie over on day one of the season. All three games in glasgow over the festive period too. Can't wait for the season to start now!!!

This is total b******* but it looks like there will be no change of direction on this one so to me it has to be a case of damage limitation for the fixtures against the ugly mob. What we need the club to do is make sure the regular 600 or whatever that frequent the north stand are housed together in the north end of the main stand together, in order to generate as much of an atmosphere as possible. Got to agree with others though - the police are a joke and if they done their job correctly and didnt lie down to either of our glasgow neighbours then we wouldnt even be having this discussion right now.

Petition signed and email sent to the club. If we all do likewise lets hope we can get them to change their minds about this ridiculous decision.

When there was talk of reallocating season ticket holders for this game due to the club not wanting to put Celtic fans in the old stand I had a feeling these problems may materialise. There is no way they will have us in the north, main stand and half the j husband and Celtic getting 2000 at one end of it. At the end of the day we are being penalised because these p***** can't behave when on an away day. It's a total disgrace if they are moving both season ticket holders in one stand and moving the singing section too, which has regenerated the atmosphere at Firhill. I'd rather have the main stand empty and give Celtic a bit of the j husband whilst we stay in the north stand where the team have and will benefit from our support the most.

Id be up for a brick for me and one for my old man too. Im sure there would be enough interest to fill another part of the wall and raise some more cash for the club at the same time.

If he is saying he was played out of position at dens that could account for his record of scoring only 4 goals in 35 games with them. Or is it because it was in the spl and he struggled against the opposition?! The rest of his career he has bagged 70 in 215 appearances (1 every 3 games) - could do us a turn if he could chip in 10/15 goals next season.
