Hopefully he'll get to the bottom of his problem....

I would go with Doolanhino against Raith. Linford to come off the bench.
Rovers will be stuffy so it's up to us to be patient and grab the chances when they come along. I still feel Dools is our best forward to take a half chance and turn it into a goal.

Thank goodness Morton could afford an onion bag for the goal otherwise Rowser's rocket would have ended up in Gourock
-
I tear my hair out every week at our pathetic corners and free-kicks.
Will be celebrating tonight though if we hold out, even more so if we go on to score more!
Third goal in two games from a corner

All the best Kyle. You've done me proud. If your stuck we'll gladly have you back any time. The new Kenny Watson or Alex O'Hara. Rangers players made good?
-
Paul Pato Paton, the Mascherano of Div 1
What a goal by Rowser(on you tube already. Three goals from corners in the last two games. Two were peaches and one was legendary, thanks Doc
Very pleased with result, would maybe have settled for draw on the day. Doolaninho stopped all those negative thoughts

I think Alan has been consistent this season and a major part of our good defensive record. I wouldn't be surprised to see him stay on for a bit. Especially with a lot of young players in the squad.

Asda have been looking to move out of Summerston for years. Not sure if they would be interested. Still leaves a problem of where we go?
If we got a 5g pitch would we look for a tenant or co-owner, Maryhill juniors or something?
I feel at the moment we have no way to afford a move, so we just need to maximise what we have. I would look at ticket pricing. £15 and concessions should include unemployed. MAybe a tenner a game? Season ticket prices should be frozen to allow for the games with special offer prices. Maybe a free or reduced guet ticket for cup game?
According to budget figures we are just about breaking even. However the playing squad budget is unsustainable if we lose £200k due to the Warriors leaving imo. Is there no way to find some common ground with them? Their fans enjoy Firhill for the matchday experience. I can't see car parking being the reason they have chosen to leave.

Wee bit late with this, however it was a very important 3 points for us. Got the job done. Paul Cairney was fantastic and I'd say our best threat at the moment.
Here's hoping for a win on Saturday and then a Dundee style resurgence in form going into our two home games, in a row against teams below us in the league.

Calum Elliot on loan at Dungdee, then got injured 10 seconds into his debut against Rovers. Crock, avoid imo.
I think he came back in against Stirling in the cup and therefore is cup-tied as well.

He quit a few weeks back. Can't play until 1 January though due to terms of the loan agreement. I think his style will gives us an excellent option off the bench.
Seems to be prepared to work hard in training and playing for the reserves to wait to get back into the team. Doesn't fancy going out on loan again this season.
Good that he's showing a willingness to knuckle down at Firhill. PC Irons must have been running a very tight ship

Moved to Glasgow during close season. Has had highs and lows so far but is still relatively young. Seems a decent lad and has been exposed to more first team football than if WK hadn't been injured.

...since its’ inception...
Is Christmas not got something to do with an immaculate inception
-
Excellent FT, looks like I got them right again
Well happy with that. Cheaper than a league game bought with 3,6 or 9 tickets as well.

Howzabout a midfield of Shaggy playing behind Rowson & Charnley with Harkins at the top of the diamond?
No pace, they'd get murdered imo. Could even Barca afford to have Jeebs and Chico in the same midfield?
-
I remember there was a squad of Feyernood fans at the ICT 1/4 final game at Firhill. Think they were playing the Blue Monkeys in some Euro side show.
Any idea when ticket prices will be announced for this game? I'm hoping for the old £12/£6, especially right after Christmas, bah humbug!
-
Yes, why shouldn't there be an Elton John concert at Firhill? I'd definitely go, and it would be great to see thousands of other Jags walking along the Red and Yellow Brick Road on their way to the gig.
Indeed. Pity him and David didn't have another kid. They could have taken advantage of the £20 for a family of four offer tomorrow.
Maybe he would see us as Watford lite, and sling us a few quid?

This thread is foo of rockets man

Well at the moment(last 5 games) we are averaging a goal a game if you include Culter but also not letting any in. Livi have 10 but again 6 were in the cup and they have conceded 7 in their last 4 league games.
So unless we go for a nil nil, there will be goals. I just hope we manage at least one more than Livi.

Four unbeaten away from home. Sounds like the shooting boots were left on the team coach again. Ah well, clean sheet and a winnable game at home on Saturday. Hopefully we'll put in a winning performance before apathy overcomes me totally, meh.

Damn beat me to it.
Mo jo had just joined gers at the time. The game had a minute silence as Jock Wallace had just died.....some one shouted out during the minute silence, "is this cos mo jo is a w****r" and the Rangers support didn't appreciate the joke. Probably bad timing on the guys part.
Think it was Scot Symon and the Record labelled the Thistle fans a disgrace. I think the Rangers fans were giving Mo Jo more stick than we did
-
I noticed that Andy Gibson got his piece in the record mixed up. He says Lambie freed him but said he was at Tannadice for our play-off defeat? I thought he'd left before the murder mscleod era
Anyway, I hope the Jags can bring me some birthday cheer on this miserable afternoon. Better make a pit-stop just in case

I don't like Erskine starting on the right. Fair enough if a player is prone to crossing. Not an attribute that Chris shows very often. Would be better with O'Donnell.
I'd go as follows:
GK Fox
RB Paton
LB Sinclair
CB Balatoni
CB Archibald
DM Robertson
CM Rowson
RM O'Donnell
LM Cairney
CF Dargo
CF Elliot
Subs:
Scully
Bannigan
Flannigan
Erskine
Doolan
I would see Cairney letting Sinclair on the overlap and at times would be 3-5-2 with Paton tucking in at the back.
I'll take any win but think we should be realistic and I'd be happy with a 3-0 or 4-1.

One game at a time I think. We will need to break down a stuffy Rovers team. If we get the first goal I feel we will go onto win the game.
The team need to perform better against defensive, counter-attacking teams. Maybe bringing Erskine in for extra creativity for Hutton will help matters.
I have growing faith in the manager. He's adjusted the system to suit the players we have and form has picked up, especially on the road.
We've even grabbed three goals from corners in the last two games, another previous bugbear.
He seems to be keen on selecting in form players, but will shake things up as required.
Fox seems more like his old self after Scully showed up as a capable under-study.
All positive signs in my book.
I'll take 2-0 on Saturday. Doolan and Balatoni to score.
