Sam Parkin is a regular in Coopers on Great Western Road so possiby lives near-by? Although I'd doubt he would play a bounce game against his parent club. Maybe not though.
I know what you mean about the bounce game thing. Maybe against another team, if permission was given but not his own. It wouldn't be good for his confidence for one.
Coopers is my usual pre-match stop off. I'll need to regale him about how mighty the Jags are

Steve Lomas was wanting to send Sam Parkin out on a month's loan. Can you play anyone in a bounce game as long as you've their clubs permission? I'm not saying it was him, just a general wonder.

I cannot condone this attack you 've launched on the board...

Fixed that for you Fritzy. Cheers for the link, I think

We all know what a poor result for the fans and club Saturday was at the time. However the players know the honeymoon period is over and indifferent form has to be improved on greatly. I think we are still lacking defensively and not getting the goals recently. With a determined attitude and a willing to recover the ball I hope we can bounce back, starting on Saturday.
Alternatively, heads stay down and we could end up in a relegation battle. One we would be unlikely to win if all confidence is gone.
Either way it's obviously a crucial period for the manager and his team. I hope they choose the right path.
So players and management please restore some faith and pride in you by getting tore in on Saturday and for the rest of the season.

I don't think we're in a position to be laughing at Culter or their fans nauhtie

So my season ticket devalued comsidering I bring my 2 boys to the game every week and they get in for nothing being under 16?
Nice offer but not fully thought through for peoplke like myself.
Fair point, loyal fans often don't benefit from initiatives to attract new support. Maybe get a mate to bring his kids? At least someone you know gets a turn?
-
Booing the team ontothe park, now that's an interesting one. Have even of fans managed this during one of their melt-downs?
-
that will be a some mileage for the culter fans
I have no sympathy for them. Their team should have finished the job on saturday
-
I think it's an excellent email and the club are quite right to use the negative publicity surrounding our disgusting neighbours to good effect.
My only gripe is I dont appear to be on their email database
I think they got mine when I did the fan survey over the summer. Also been notified about morton and county hospitality and hall of fame and 71 night.

£10 entry means I'll be able to drag some lapsed fans to the game and they can spend the money saved on birthday drinks for me
-
Winable route all the way to the quarters, can't ask for more. A chance for the team to make saturday a bad memory. I hope they will take it. Although if we get by Culter I can see us doing things the hard way and winning a replay at Palmerston on penalties I hope we price the Queens game favourably, £12/£6?
If we know who we're possibly playing in the 1/4s it could be a bumper travelling support.
-
Good initiative and if we were mounting a decent promotion challenge we could possibly woo some neutral fans/ malcontent of armchair surfers.
I agree with what is said by Ami, it's hardly libellous, but we won't have a better chance to turn children away from the dark side, imo.

Not clear if available to away fans?

Ayr drew 2-2 so it was off anyway
Ayr are playing the replay midweek. Both parttime teams. However clubs have the right to one saturday replay in the first 3 rounds of the cup.
-
Is it just me, but if the juniors had access to the Scottish Cup 25 years ago this wouldn't feel as bad due to previous debacles?
-
Och I thought this was a link to a players tweet
-
Maybe the players could calm down on their Monday drinking sessions while they are going through this rough patch
Overall interaction with fans is a good idea, especially when things are going ok. During a poor period of form it leaves them open for further criticism.
I hope they are tweeting about extra training sessions and being too tired to go out for the next couple of weeks
-
Cowdenbeath and Berwick were much worse because we got beat. We're still in it. Extra pay day, happy days
-
Berwicjk result was worse. We missed out on an away tie at Easter Road. We're still in the cup. Let the fans in for a fiver and the kids for nowt then we can move on.
Thistle till I die
-
I think the club should make the replay a fiver to get in and free entry for kids. We should perform better on a wider and bigger pitch.
-
If any of you ******* players are reading this then hang yer heads in shame as you have just ****** up my weekend and even more so my plans for next weekend at ayr. There was a few of us who have'nt been to a wee away day out together for a while all going to make a day and night of it but now thanks tae yous its all ******* canceled now.
It is a pisser but Ayr are drawing with Montrose at the moment anyway.
-
We're still in it. I'm more pissed off that Ayr next week has been re-scheduled. Birthday day out ruined, cheers lads
Might be a good time to stick a pound on us winning the cup?

It's wiki it must be true!
Super Sam Parkin
Interesting, "Parkin is eligible to play for Scotland through his Scottish mother, and made his Scotland debut in a Scotland Future international against Austria. Unfortunately, he was injured early in the match and was substituted. He has not been picked again and remains eligible to play for England."
