I know a lot of people on here wanted them gone, however the timing is extremely strange. I wonder if this is not just about team performance? Perhaps a cost cutting measure?

Excepting those who never wanted the manager appointed in the first place and who have made their views known on numerous occasions I think the rest of us have to stop and ask the question 'why are we having this debate'?

We weren't talking about replacing the manager when after 12 games or so we were top of the league with Ayr.

We then lost 5 successive games and fell out of the top 4.

After that we won 3, drew 1 and lost 1 and low and behold were acknowledging the manager had turned it around.

We then lost 2 in a row (and this could quite easily become another 5 defeats in succession)

So what's the difference between our winning form and our losing streaks.

It's quite clear to me! When we win we have more or less a full squad available for selection and when we lose (referring to the two losing streaks) we have about 6/7  first team squad player injured.

In this situation the manager is left with no option but to put  square pegs into round holes. On both losing streaks he has lost not only an excessive number of players but also his influential players.

I know many will disagree with my views but why let the facts get in the way of a good story!

Look at ICT and Arbroath. Two clubs who have struggled with a scale of injuries similar to us. They are now picking up results , also like us, because their players have returned to full fitness and unlike us have avoided further injury.

IMO where we are in the league is down to the scale of the injury situation and nothing more. I therefore vote for the manager to stay. As I have said repeatedly I am not comfortable with the two assistant structure and would prefer Archibald to leave. He has had his chance.

We may or may not have got an equaliser but Graham’s sending off completely killed it.

His sending off was an absolute disgrace. He’s let down the fans and his manager. For a senior player who is supposedly interested in management he cuts a surly, self centred figure. His actions were childish, moronic, unwarranted. I wonder if he watched the Scottish rugby team come back from adversity to win. Sheer graft and dedication to the cause. These are words that these players don’t understand.

He really doesnt give a tupny. He should be dismissed immediately along with the management team who are unable to inspire. Are players fined these days for being sent off? They bloody well should be.

I ask again. What is the point of Lee Hodson? He’s useless in every position!

Hodson career has been loan after loan because he’s absolutely shit

Was over in Scotland visiting family and planned it around the game on Saturday.

Wasn't travelling as far as the folk from Chicago or Stockholm but did opt for a stayover in a hotel on Saturday and an 11 hour drive/ferry trip back in one day to Cork on Sunday just to watch Thistle (and get the wee man back to school for Monday).  3 minutes into the second half I knew we'd lose.  Anyway, lets not dwell - I just had to mention something strange.

To kill time on Saturday afterwards with my 14 year old son (who had also been traumatised at Firhill, but was happy as had at least got the new away top in the shop), we grabbed dinner and then a film at Braehead. Options were limited, so we end up watching, "Something in the Dirt, "  a supernatural / "comedy."  We were the only two in the screening and not surprised as the film was honking.

But here's the the twist, one of the 2 actors was Aaron Moorhead !!!

So in 1 day we had sat through 2 horror shows from Aaron Muirhead/ Moorhead

Anyway, anyone who can watch that Thistle team every week has to be made of strong stuff.

My last visit we lost 1-0 at home to Raith with a 93rd minute goal (back in April)

May be for best (for omens and my mental health) if I skip Firhill on my next sojourn home!

aye stay at home FFS it’s you that’s the problem no McCall
