Scott Brown International Retirement (Proven Liar Now)

Broon, as I recall, made his breakthrough to the Scotland side, as a Hibee, on the back of the relentless energy he seemed to burn: a total 'box to box' player as they say; always in his opponents' faces, and in a good way, half the time. I never considered him to be particulary skilful, and he was definitely never a set piece specialist or anything like that.

Over the past 2 years, I've noticed that he's become increasingly anonymous during games. I've been hoping that either WGS bins him or he walks away. A captain leads by example, but Broon is clearly no longer able to lead by putting a huge shift in, so for me his retirement from the international is way overdue but welcome just the same.

Oh, and that coupin of his. Grimace.
