There's not much to be enthusiastic about just now, so negative type posts are going to be foremost in the discussions here. I think the reason why the old ptfc.net forum is so fondly remembered by some is because in it's heyday, we enjoyed the back to back Championships and certain Board Members were quite happy to partake in discussions on the forum and happy enough to take part in an online Q&A session one night as well. When the team's doing well the Forum is a much better place. Indeed, my favourite thread on any Thistle forum ever was the thread that accompanied the going on at Peterhead when we won the Play-off. Getting home and reading that thread was fantastic. Seeing posters going from the lowest when Peterhead opened the scoring to go 3-1 ahead on aggregate to the extreme high when Billy Gibson's free kick was deflected into the net with the last kick of the ball, then Paul Ritchie's winning Penalty delight was almost as good as being there at the time! The forum can be a great place to be around when the atmosphere of the place is a lot better than it is now. Please tell me someone has this saved for posterity. johnkebab71 Posted August 16, 2011 Report Share Posted August 16, 2011 I think having the forum is good with respect to current news D'ont really care about post game chat as I have my own opinion and other fans are entitled to theirs. The patter is pretty poor but so is the patter at the games, or maybe its just where i sit although every where i have sat someone always pisses me off! End of the day it's hard enough supporting a team like thistle! Nobody is forcing to you read this stuff and you can tell by the post topic or who is posting it if it will be sh*t or not. Gutted , would have been a good reminder for everyone of just how success can happen when it looks least likely...and show everyone how good a Thistle forum can be when everything works out in the end. I was waiting for that one to come up edited to add.... another of my favourites was when we hacked into the ICT website, which for some reason allowed repeat voting and had the poll iirc up to 85% against ICT accepting promotion.
