  1. Is it only in Scotland that this question would be asked? Would a fan of Seville be asked which one of Barca or Real he supported? Or a Leyton Orient fan if he preferred Arsenal or Spurs? Maybe we should ask rangers fans who they prefer............England, Holland or Norn Ireland!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Born a Jag 40 years ago, as was my dad, as was my grandad. My great grandad started supporting thistle because he lived in Partick and helped the club out now and then. My son has no interest in football, but maybe I can get him in the end via the Glasgow Warriors as he has a bit of an interest in rugby.
  3. 2 cheeks of the same arse. For years they encouraged all this bile from not only their fans, but also their players. Then one day the tv company (with the big bucks) says its probably best if they dont do it anymore, so grudgingly the clubs say ok, but the fans arent as quick to change having been indoctrinated since birth into the hatred of the green or blue half of Glasgow. The clubs could very easily find the muppets that still insist on singing their songs and other nonsense, and ban them for life from the ground, but they wont. If I sang the sash at firhill, would the police treat me the same as they would a rangers fan singing it at ibrox, and ignore it? Whilst not all of their fans are knuckledraggers, I think a lot of them can be summed up by an ex-neighbour of mine. A pleasant guy, who was retired and in general was a great person to live beside. A very likeable husband, father, and grandfather. BUT, in his 75 years as a celtic fan he never once went to ibrox to see celtic in an OF game at castle greyskull. The reason? He didnt want to give money to those "H*n ********". And his wife was protestant!!!!
  4. Watching this cup game just now and if this is the what the SPL can offer then its no wonder Scottish football is dying on its arse.
  5. I know what you mean. I have a jags sticker on the back of my car, and a guy pulled up beside me at the lights and gave me the thumbs up. Weird I thought, until he pulled away and I saw the same sticker on the back of his car.
  6. For years it suited both teams to play up to this divide. What happened in Manchester came as a shock to everyone, except those of us in Scotland. Listening to guys like Alan Brazil on radio, his only concern is the actual game and not the aftermath. What the rest of the world needs is for an OF game to be played at wembley or old trafford and see what happens after 90 mins. Having been in a A&E just after and OF game, I can tell you it is horrendous. In the next cubicle were two celtic fans, who were brothers, covered in blood because they had been scrapping with each other!!!! The OF - Two cheeks of the same arse indeed.
  7. How about when they visit us we give them a minute's slow hand clap.
  8. Was good to see Hardy talking some of the players through the game. Twaddle spent most of the game being crabbit. Oh and while I am here......................... 7 MINUTES of injury time???????????????
  9. Well done lads. MMMH made a big difference. Thought the keeper should have did better at the goalie but will take it. Halliwell still looks a wee bit shaky at the high balls. Something to work on methinks.
  10. But he didnt realise that at the time. I think Liam's season was summed up when he got the ball and tried to take on the County defender. All he ended up doing was kicking the ball to the lad and then falling over. Right now we are screwed with him up front. He is no good in the air, so high balls are useless. His pace is gone, so a ball over the top for him to run onto is out. He can hold up the ball and lay it off.............. So the question is.........what exactly does Liam bring to the team when he crosses the white line?
  11. It maybe sounds like we are making Bryn and Liam scapegoats, but at the end of the day if they had both did what were the easiest part of their jobs we would have been through to the final. In Liam's case I think its time he was given leave of the 1st team for a while. He has did nothing this season. His pace is gone as has is scoring. How many goals has our supposed No1 striker scored this season? Not saying punt him, but maybe he can take his Aston Martin for a wee drive for a few weeks til he can play without his head dropping.
  12. Agree No pace, can't score. Why does he still get a game?
  13. Liam should have did better, but keeper got something to it. Bryn on the other hand has NO excuse. That was the easiest take a keeper could wish for.
  14. Word of advice to Liam If you are going to put your finger to your lips after the penalty as if to silence the critics, at least try and do something during the previous 120 mins.
  15. feck beaten on pens. bugger
  16. noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
  17. Halliwell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! )))))))))))
  18. pity you werent as cool in et Liam.
  19. cairney....................1-0
  20. penalties should never have gotten to this.
