  1. Got a couple last night, nearly choked on my curry when I saw the date on the ticket was 2012! On the tv theme I'm sure it will be 'Alright on the Night'
  2. At 2-0, I thought Morton were still in it but as soon as we went 3-0 up, it could have been anything. The way we knocked the ball around was great to see and the icing on the cake would have been if Cairney could have stuck that one away after some brilliant lead up play. Fabulous performance and hopefully we can take the recent home form into away games and become a real threat in this league. O'Donnell was a worthy MOM, though Sinclair must have ran him very close. Overall a great team effort and looking forward to the season now that the poor start looks well and truly behind us!
  3. Slightly different, but Peterhead away was a brilliant day too and one I know my boy will never forget. They may not come along very often but always cherished when they do!
  4. Could not give a monkeys about so called celebrity fans, unless they put a bum on a seat and paid for the privilege!
  5. Beats me too, I think it may have been a New Years day game against the H*ns, though for some reason I'm also thinking I may have seen them against the Bankies before then. Beats me, but was a long time ago, 40 years plus! Now the first European game I was at was Honved, that I do remember.

  7. Just back from the MTB. Very good turnout, taking that to be the case as more chairs had to be put out with a good few standing too. Personally, we need to get behind this board. The time, effort and money they has been put in to help save this club should not be underestimated. It is clear we still have a long way to go and new challenges along the way, however as DB stated their emphasis has been plugging the holes in the ship. DB made it very clear that we should look forward and was also at pains to point out the previous board all have Thistle interests at heart too. I have to say, without their input, the club would have been in serious trouble. Lot of questions raised, and answered. I think we are lucky to have guys willing to put in so much time and effort without much in the way of thanks. It is hoped this may become an annual event and if so, it is certainly worth making the effort to go. Hopefully the board will have been heartened by the numbers attending and in the main the general appreciation of their efforts to-date. Long may they continue.
  8. IMO best loanee since Dorrans, though would be a nice thought to think he may turn out even better!

  10. A couple of seasons ago Colin Stewart would have been a shoe-in between the sticks, but IMO would be on the bench now behind Bryn Halliwell.
  11. Great job Jim. Particularly like the one of the Ayr players in the net. Not a happy return for Robbo. (Good player for us mind.)
  12. I'm going to bed, need a lie down!!! As a matter of interest, was your Mark Robertson substituted today?
  13. Are you mixing up Mark Roberts and John Robertson? And if you are referring to Mark Roberts, you need to sit on the naughty step. Mark Roberts mince for Thistle - ffs I don't believe this!!!
  14. Are you having a laugh, Graham Dorrans was anything but mince when on loan with us.
  15. Excellent 2nd half performance. Cairney, Rowser and Sinclair were the stand outs for me, though I believe Hutton is a big factor in allowing Cairney and Rowser to get forward more, while he covers behind. Erskine looked lively too, carrying on from his performance of last week. Ayr were poor, and look the most likely to be propping up the league at the end of the season. I think the next couple of games will provide a good pointer on how the season may pan out for us. Only down side to the day was the injury to Robertson, hand up straight away was the sign it was a bad one. Agree with previous posters, good to see Roberts getting an ovation on his substitution, though was glad to see his effort coming off the post in the first half.
