  1. Brilliant. Now Pressley is out of a job, Vata is the scouting system.
  2. On Pogba, Dumbaya and Sean Welsh's 3 yr deal?
  3. Paul Hartley? You missed yesterday's result?
  4. Maybe so, but he left in strange circumstances. I hope he has control of his demons but i wouldn't want him anywhere near Firhill.
  5. If Stevie May increased his wages seven fold by moving south, i'd suggest that 3 free transfer wouldnt pay for Taylor. And there was a fee
  6. Why would anyone expect an improvement on 8th place after 9 games? we have a new goalkeeper. A whole new defence and new midfield.
  7. Imagine asking someone to have a suggested replacement should the current manager move on. It's simple. Back the manager or don't. So where do you stand?
  8. A business overdraft of c 25k comes in at roughly 5.5%. Obviously you only pay for what you use. JAF will have a view on the accounts etc
  9. Ok. Who is replacing him? Danny Lennon who is struggling at Alloa? What about the up and coming Alan Johnston? Or the vastly experienced Stuart McCall? I know, we'll go for Ian McCall. No. Wait. Terry Butcher. Kenny Shiels. He won a cup you know. Stevie Lomas. Sacked from Millwall. Barry Smith. No i've got it. The next new thing Ian Murray. We really are done now. Aren't we? Before the Jimmy Calderwood klaxon goes off.
  10. And the manager doesn't hit the bar from 3 yards out. Shall we continue?
  11. It was. They got better offers. Some waited to see what other options they had, then signed (Dumbya)
  12. There's no chance the club has got rid of it's short term facility. It couldnt operate without one.
  13. They will have. "Your"overdraft only covers you for emergencies. If you need work done, a new car, a new tv you'll either need to save up. Or borrow the money. Let's hope your car doesn't pack in. Or your boiler go on the blink or your utility player is out for 20 weeks...
  14. Technically he was released but only after what LIB said. I reported what Craigen said last home gsme of season. Archie has said same. No conspiracy.
  15. We have to assume that at some point, the academy will yield success. This could be 2-3 seasons away. That's why survival is important. That money can then be used to pay down debt/increase budget. It's a gamble. Or you could take the hit, get relegated, play the young guys, sell a few, keep your fingers crossed we find a team. It's a gamble. In short, we need a bit of luck imo.
  16. And when the bank called in your overdraft, you'd better have the money to pay it back...
  17. I would have thought a conversion to long term debt makes sense at current rates. Unless you have cash to pay it off or are expecting a windfall are a dramatic upturn in revenue. You could argue that it's about stabilising outgoings. Use your own household finances as an example.
  18. Amazing. The same Craigen that was subject to abuse and ridicule on here. This forum truly is the beyond belief
  19. This. If you punt him, you do so in the knowledge that everything starts again. You do it with the knowledge that in the top tier, that sort of change has been a near death sentence for us in the past. Auld-Cormack. Lambie-Murdo. Lambie to Collins. Lastly, you do it in the knowledge that the replacement has probably failed multiple times already elsewhere.
  20. This is pretty simple. In life, i support people who work hard, who have a good attitude and generally seem like decent people. It's even better if those people have an aptitude for what they do. That means when they hit a bad patch, they get even more support from me. So there's no discussion from my perspective. I back the manager and trust him to sort it out. If you are the type of person that doesn't recognise hard work and achievement, i can't help you there. If you are the type of person who won't stand by one of your own, then shame on you. Two words folks: St Mirren. Be careful what you wish for.
  21. St Johnstone have been supported by the Browns for nearly 30 yrs. ICT previously racked up huge debts ehich were written off by their sugar daddy. Tulloch?
