  1. A total knob in the Jackie husband stand also who loudly berated Sinclair at every opportunity.
  2. My post isn't a dig at one thistle or indeed Ian, more that a huge amount has been said over the summer on this forum about how the club need to professionalise...they would apear to be doing that. Also i was highlighting a post (made by Ian himself) which shows one of the problems (sometimes) of volunteers carrying out important roles.
  3. The main point here isnt whether the new posts are replacing volunteers. They should be complementing each other. As has been mentioned in previous posts when one thistle were asked what had happened to their excellent match and thistle promotional work. Ian suggested that maybe they're fed up doing work that others are or should be paid for. The club cant rely on individuals apparently deciding they wont do things because decisions weren't to their favour or that promises weren't kept.
  4. Haven't seen the pic so can't add further comment. And what is C Division??
  5. Norge, i believe there was a post earlier which indicated that it was a stewards training night therefore probably not 'total overkill'!
  6. Thought Bannigan was fairly poor today
  7. Those last two posts would show some danger of an outbreak of common sense!!!
  8. i don't even know who the One Thistle folk are although a couple of posters on here have identified themselves as involved however i think the vast majority of their posts over recent weeks have come across as a tad churlish and smack of dummy spitting. From what i see and hear they did a lot of good work last season however the dummies came out over the North Stand issue and have remained out ever since. I acknowledge there are a number of failings on the clubs part this close season which need to be addressed and there are legitimate complaints however this is just my view on the approach being taken by some individuals. It's not a lazy dismissal of those complaints.....just an opinion / observation.
  9. I feel as if all of the angst on here comes from the fact that the supporters are having to move from the NS for the Celtic game. It might not even be that, it might just be that Onethistle weren't told about it. To me this smacks of just spitting the dummy. ^^^THIS!!^^^
  10. Agree with Merryhell...yep there are things that could be better and i'm confident that in time they will. Accepting that it will take time and cutting those involved a bit of slack is not the same as just blindly accepting mediocrity. There just appears to be individuals who are hell bent on highlighting faults at the moment.
  11. why would giving them the main stand and the north stand cause more problems than it solves?
  12. Again...well put by LIB. Paton was a very effective player for us last season and doesn't merit anything like some of the comments posted in recent weeks
  13. Thanks for the blueprint. That makes more sense than referring to the original post. ......although probably worth mentioning football in that blueprint as thats why we go in the first place!
  14. Sorry guys but replying to two threads in one go here. Ian you made it very clear in the post on page one of this thread that based on the admission that sporting solutions reheat food that thistle should rip up the contract. Im saying thats standard fare. Scamps, im still not seeing much of a blueprint!
  15. Ian. Do you have such a knowledge of corporate hospitality that you can suggest a contract can be torn up because they use reheated food? As mentioned elsewhere in this thread im pretty sure its standard fare in all sorts of arenas.
  16. While it may be a pity it's certainly not a surprise that we can't compete with the likes of Motherwell (and even St Johnstone, Killie etc). They are established SPL t teams...and Motherwell in particular can boast quite a few forays into Europe.
  17. I appreciate that this an emotive subject for some and less so for others however i don't think a poll to which 70 fans have contributed and which has provided close to a 50/50 split could be said to provide any sort of yardstick. In addition i'm afraid your alternative exit strategy is a non-starter.
  18. Am i the only one that thinks the statement re segregation on the official site is actually a pretty clear and well worded statement which paints the picture and depicts the position the club found themselves in due to a number of important factors outwith their control.
  19. I don't know the individuals involved in the North Stand move however they have been particularly vocal on a number of threads and critical of the clubs decision regarding this and their lack of communication with the fans (and supported by a number of other fans). Club chairmen are in a difficult position and sometimes have to make unpopular decisions. It's fairly easy to come on to a forum and say 'ignore the view of the police / council', 'stuff the short term financial implications', 'ban Celtic fans', 'tell the police it's their responsibility to stop flares getting in to the ground', 'i'm not renewing my season ticket', 'search every fan going into the North Stand' etc etc. The Club chairman has to look at the bigger picture (which i believe he is doing). While i agree the North Stand clearly improved the matchday experience for a number of people, you're only being asked to move from a stand that's only been in use for a year and watch your team from the JHS a couple of times a season.
  20. The administrators are only offering a deal of 12p in the pound...being the only creditor I reckon I'll have to accept!
  21. Some wise words by Willjag and Allyo and some complete over reaction by others
