  1. The Challenge Cup is all midweek this season - 9/10 December; 6/7 January; 27/28 January; 24/25 February; 28/29 March OR 4/5 April. I think only three league games could move to midweek slots, which would be matchday 7 (at home to Ayr United), matchday 28 (away to Raith Rovers), and matchday 34 (away to Airdrieonians) dependent on whether either of us progress to the Quarter Final of the League Cup or Quarter Final or Semi Final of the Scottish Cup, respectively. Obviously there's the possibility of weather related call-offs too...
  2. General consensus seems to be a) he’s good in a back 5, not a back 4 and b) last season was his best season. Good luck to him.
  3. 1. St. Johnstone 2. Ross County 3. Dunfermline Athletic 4. Partick Thistle 5. Raith Rovers 6. Ayr United 7. Greenock Morton 8. Airdrieonians 9. Arbroath 10. Queen's Park
  4. £24 a ticket now - is that new info or was that previously known?
  5. Missed out on Edinburgh City away last season as I was at The Open, so that's good for me to tick off. Although I'm aware it's a dire stadium.
  6. It’s always Pot 1 and Pot 4 away for us Pot 2 teams - so Elgin City in your scenario - with Pot 3 and 5 at home.
  7. He'll be 23 in June so don't think we would.
  8. Loved Aero in his first spell with us, he was brilliant in the promotion season - I recall Balatoni scooped a quite a few of the Player of the Season awards but I always thought Muirhead was better that season. Has been solid enough second time around too. Good player at this level.
  9. Absolutely. Thinking back to building our title winning squad of 2012/13 that year and the previous summer: Sinclair, Muirhead, Balatoni, O’Donnell, Welsh, Lawless all fit that profile… …welcome back sporting director Jackie Mac.
  10. Definitely need to bring in another attacking option - from the last line of our article, I'd hope we're looking to bring a forward in on loan. Would like to get Roberts back on loan too. Here's how it's looking then. Enough for the play-offs...? Mitchell Megwa - Ashcroft (Muirhead) - O'Reilly - Drysdale Martin (McBeth) - Bannigan (Stanway) Chalmers (Lawless) - Turner (Crawford) - Fitzpatrick (MacKay) Graham (Ablade)
  11. Would hope we’re getting at least £100k. Hearts have received, and spent, a fair bit of money this window. £100k isn’t a huge amount for them to secure someone that has other Premiership interest and addresses a pressing need for them. I’d be really disappointed if we’re letting Milne go for around £30k or so. Wouldn’t make much sense from us.
  12. Depends how skint we are and what our ambitions are. Appreciate it's difficult to bring in a striker who will score goals, particularly in January, but I'd hope we're actively looking for competition for Graham that's a step up from Ablade.
  13. Would think we still need a goalkeeper and a striker minimum if we're going to have any chance of promotion. Do we have Sayers and Nilsson for the remainder of the season? Would we want them is another question, but seen conflicting stuff about whether they're even still here. Would be good to get some clarity on that. Another full-back for cover would be required if they're both gone.
  14. 4. 2010/11: 15 goals, 2011/12: 13 goals, 2012/13: 13 goals, 2013/14: 11 goals, 2014/15: 9 goals, 2015/16: 14 goals, 2016/17: 14 goals. So would've been 7 in a row if he'd score once more in 2014/15.
  15. We need 7-8 more I reckon: GK RB (hoping McMillan will stay - which teams are likely to come in for him? Dundee, Dundee Utd, St. Johnstone?) CB or DM or both (depending on where Doolan sees MacBeth starting. If he thinks MacBeth-O’Reilly is the defensive pairing with Muirhead and Williams as back-up, then we need a Byrne-type signing. If he sees MacBeth as our defensive midfielder, we need to sign a starting centre-back and could probably get away with not signing another midfielder.) W x2 ST Then another defender who can cover across the backline would be ideal. Musonda would fit the bill, as an example.
