I think after just one competitive game Erskine might be willing to wait a little bit longer before he starts having any regrets!
I fear a little for him that he'll have to make do with mainly sub appearances and it'll start to affect his confidence a little, but then again, McNamara knows fine well how good a player he can be, so who knows. It might take a while but he may end up being good for them. I really do wish he'd decided to give it a go with Thistle in the SPL though, we clearly need him much more than Dundee Utd will.
As for Paton, don't really wish him any ill-will, and he did play an important part in winning the league and thanks to him for that, but his problem is clearly that he talks too much. Instead of just keeping his mouth shut he went on about how great it was at Firhill while lying about not signing for another club and generally got foolishly involved in social media with it all. Posted rubbish about guys like Doolan signing for other clubs, has been quoted in the press telling Thistle fans they should thank McNamara, labels them bitter, etc He really needs to learn that sometimes its better to either say nothing at all or try to be diplomatic. He was never going to get the kind of response Erskine does, but if he wants to be treated like a diddy, then he's certainly going the right way about it.
