I hadn’t realised Doolan was going through this which makes it even more incredible he has been doing since he has taken over while also having this worry to deal with
Well said TL. Dools has his hands full but again tonight interviewed really well on the BBC. Hats off to him

Rollercoaster of a game. I have to say I’m pleased we take a lead into Fridays part 2.

I assume then that the TV money is diluted in a similar fashion. What I'm trying to get at is have we in net terms lost £150K from not finishing second? Put another way will the size of the crowd at Firhill on Tuesday be largely immaterial regarding our finances?
Fine margins for that £150k. One more goal would have done it (or not losing to Hamilton or Cove)

Doolan managed tonight and it was very poor. But winning tonight would have made life easier .
I’m already sick of your downer on Dools.

If The Thistle Archive used the media for their info they'd be scratching their heads wondering "Duke Gekantawa-Where is he now?" and just where yon Doohlan fella ranked on the goal scoring list.
They’d be hard pressed to find Lawleff too

If Ayr v ICT have a 23-23 draw, a 14-0 defeat would do it.
If it was the game played by men with oddly shaped balls, those scorelines might indeed be possible.

My only achievement was being above Particktheunderdog.
He’s cleverer than I, but he cannae win this competition

Thank goodness they are not in the Champions League final on June 10th.

I think Turner could be away to a lower half Premiership club.
You could be right but I hope you are wrong. Best player of the season behind Milne IMO

Good little lunch event with the players today. As usual @michael m was on good form.
Dools spoke well, the players did themselves credit. Obviously contract renewals awaiting news of which league we are playing in (and managers budget). But I’d be hopeful that Turner will stay with us.

It beggars belief that the SFA and SPFL have managed to schedule the finals of 2 competitions for the same week. Presumably, not expecting a Championship team to reach the Cup final.
Play off Final first leg - 1 June
Scottish Cup Final - 3 June
Play off Final second leg - 4 June
If ICT make it to the Play off Final, the dates will have to change. If the final is against Thistle, we may find that our players' contract extensions are not long enough.
Maxi continues to excel

I can’t understand why Dowds is ahead of Mullen in the pecking order.
I suppose you could say Mullen feels Obscured By Dowds

So, this Monday at Firhill gives the chance of kit sponsors to meet the players in an informal setting.
I’ll be there, anyone else planning to attend?

I’m comparing him with I assume his targets……win the league or make the playoffs….finishing fifth with the second best manager form guide is actually failure.
Comparing him against one of your assumptions isn’t exactly science. We all get the fact you liked McCall, but he’s gone.
Time to get behind Dools properly. He’s started well and will continue to learn. And he will re-shape the squad this summer.
