  1. Don't think the weekend edition is online yet, as they might want to sell a few copies first. As to the length of contracts it doesn't say but I would presume two years.
  2. The article also mentions that McMillan has been offered a new contract too.
  3. Oh right, so it's ok if you go back to a word a few songs ago if you want. I'm new to this so I didn't know that particular rule. Thanks for letting me know.
  4. John Gemmell was another one we signed from Queens Park, who just looked worse everytime, he came on as sub, like a big cart horse although his goal scoring record for lower league clubs seems pretty good.
  5. Only Tongue Can Tell -Trash Can Sinatras
  6. I was really thinking the straight from Chelsea players including the Loaners. I don't think McNaught was on loan but not sure. Mckinlay came from Ross County and Nicholls I don't remember. As to the best , of course Billy Dodds, not only 4 goals against East Fife but a winner against Clyde!
  7. Ok New Question but probably quite easy for some. Name 6 players who came from Chelsea to play for Thistle over the last thirty years or so. Also, opinion wise who was the best?
  8. I find it bizarre though that there's still talk in the papers of Hearts maybe signing David Goodwillie and giving a new contract to Andy Webster.
  9. First of all I did do a stint as a Apprentice Sheet Metal worker for 3 years does that count as a gig? I did see quite a few bands at the Apollo between 78 - 81, some were great: some not so. Among the best would probably be UFO, the Obsession tour unfortunately with Paul Chapman and not Michael Schenker on guitar. AC/DC with Bon Scott and Def Leppard supporting. Judas Priest with Iron Maiden ( a lot leather about that night). Others at the time included Rush, Queen, Van Halen, ZZ Top and even Journey at the Apollo. However, my favourite has to be the Black Crowes at the Barrowlands. What a great night but talk about being brought down to earth with a bang. As me and my mate YoYo got into a taxi afterwards, we asked the driver the Thistle score. " They got beat 7 nil by Aberdeen " came the reply. The only home game I missed that season!

  13. I have always been disappointed there has never been a Chinese Table Tennis Player called Ping Pong Ping. Or a shot putter called Hugh Jars. Or maybe even an American Show Jumper called Buck LaRue. Maybe, more likely a tennis player with the second name Love or Deuce
  14. Charlie Adam's Dad played for Thistle and didn't Alan Hutton made his Rangers debut against Thistle as well as his brother played for the Jags
  15. Hey Nostradumbass is today the today? I have sacrificed three pigs, two hens, a goat and a vestal virgin already this morning to ordain it all before breakfast is there a chance it's going to happen?
