  1. Well seeing that mr Lawell gets the big games at his ground. That's what I think stinks to high heaven, no that Ibrox is getting used. The SFA are in Lawells back pocket. What was wrong with playing a home game each at their grounds with another at Aberdeen and maybe tynecastle. Or would some on here think that they are also helping out hearts financially! Personally I couldn't give two fecks were we played our national home games, it doesn't matter to me or our club, simple because our ground isn't good enough or big enough.
  2. I'll see you on the dark side of the moon!
  3. And in the quarter final of the cup........he must go now!!!
  4. Thought the full team had an excellent game today. McMillan just shaded it for me as our MOTM, was superb at left back and thought Lawless was exceptional since he hadn't trained all week due to ligament trouble. Great team effort today and most of all didn't even notice Stevenson wasn't in our team until after half time. Lawless has been brilliant for the last 3 or 4 matches
  5. I seriously think our players are on more than £500 per week.
  6. Cannot believe the amount of negativity on this thread. Some fans need to look in the mirror and get a fecking life. One of the lowest paying clubs in the top league, with one of the youngest aged squads, QF of the cup and 7 points better off than the bottom team, and its not even the end of sept. We must be pish!!!! Back to the main reason of this thread...... The match tomorrow 2-1 to us with goals from Higgy and Dools.
  7. In Archie's eyes I would say ...yes.
  8. I take that any day. Not the best match I have attended, but we are in the quarter final of the cup. Lawless deserved MOTM, ran all night, faded in extra time. Carroll, seaborne had decent game, but thought the rest of the starting 11 didn't turn up tonight. Elliott did well when he came on and I actually thought we were stronger when Stevenson replaced Craigen. We will play a million times better and lose games this season, so take the bad performance with a victory any day.
  9. Can see where your coming from WJ, think we both agree that Archie has to start changing formation of the team. Especially when other teams change their game to counter ours. Sometimes it seems other managers know when to change things for the better, but Archie keeps with the same system and same subs and same time during games.
  10. We have conceded 8 goals in all competitions this yr, how many have been the fault of our right side of the team. I thought SOD was injured and that is how he dropped out of the team and since Macmillan has come in, he has been solid. Our main problem as I see it is, we are trying to accommodate Stevenson into our team. We had him as a striker, which everyone could see didn't work. Fraser got injured and Stevenson stepped back into midfield. On current form with all our midfield fit, he should struggle to get into the team, but I feel that Archie cannot drop him cos he is meant to be our big signing. With Lawless and Higgy wide, that leaves Stevenson, osman and Banzo in midfield. Banzo and Osman both have good engines and will run all day, but both need to be on top of their game, cos Stevenson doesn't have the engine to run all day in midfield. So this leads to our midfield being over run in big parts of the games. Also which has been said often enough on here, Conrad and Aero are not good enough, especially playing together. We play a constant 4-5-1, what about changing it to a 4-4-1-1, with one behind the main striker, or a straight 4-4-2. So agree with you that we need to change tactics, but not about dropping our players that are actually playing well and starting players that are having a nightmare.
  11. And drop Lawless? One of our better players this year.
  12. Thoughts are with you friend, have a spiff and chill. You will come through this and always have the thistle mate.
  13. Agree 100%, we are far more mobile with dools up front and that in turn creates the space for Higgy and stevie
  14. Why not, I'm a practising catholic, that supports partick thistle and I'll be voting NO. So if I take a Union Jack with no on it, will i be welcome?
  15. The highlights also show lawless tracking back all game, but all you seem to observe is the amount of times he lost the ball going forward. Funny how we all see things differently, even after being at the game and watching the highlights. Stevenson I think we all agree should be being played in midfield, not striker. So it is up to him to prove himself and it's up to Archie to pick the right formation in midfield. Only thing that worries me is, that plays him no matter the form of others, ie banzo, osman, fraser(when back).
  16. Is it really? As I said earlier anyone with a Union Jack in Firhill on Friday night will not be made welcome by the majority. Why? But anyone with a saltire will be welcomed with open arms by the majority. Bigots exist in our support, doesnt matter if it's about Ireland or Scotland, a bigot is a bigot. I will there on Friday night and I will accept what ever way our referendum turns out. If we have independence then all the saltires that are at the game are more than welcome and if we still part of the United Kingdom, then all union jacks that are there are welcome, but this will not happen, nobody would feel safe taking a Union Jack flag. Why?
  17. Doesn't matter if it's politics about scottish independence or Irish independence, it should not be brought into football grounds. Small question, what do you think would happen if a few jag fans bring union jacks into Firhill on Friday night, if it's a no vote. There will be punches flying. Which is wrong, some of our fans don't mind saltires with yes on them, but would have a shit fit if union jacks with no on them were to be taken in. So keep it all away from Firhill.
  18. Some yes posters, some yes saltires and some fans with yes t-shirts. Nothing major, but don't need it at games.
  19. If it's a no vote, then certainly cannot see any union jacks at our game.
  20. Who's bed wetting? Answered a question and I was at the game and have the right to watch the game without politics shit getting thrown into the mix. If I wanted that I would go to parkhead or Ibrox every week.
  21. So you don't have a problem with the two ugly sisters singing all their political songs and political propaganda?
  22. This country has been shouting for decades to keep politics out of football, ie...old firm. And rightly so. So no politics even independence politics should be at the football. We all have our opinions, but why should I pay for a season ticket to get shit thrust in my face before and then during the game. Both sides of the referendum should stay away from any sport.
  23. Oops, there's another classic from you!!
  24. If dools starts then Stevenson should go into his preferred position, midfield behind the striker. If it's a 4-5-1 then the midfield will be out of balance with Higgy wide leavingstevo, osman, banzo and Fraser covering the middle 3 and 1 wide. Who plays wide right? If we go 4-4-2 then dools and stevo up front, still leaves us with no natural wide right midfielder, choice between osman, banzo or Fraser. So why no Lawless in the squad?
  25. ^^^^^^it wasn't me that said it! I was quoting a previous post from la scimmia Rosas.
