I think the board deserve a fair amount of credit for this, i reckon they'll have pushed the boat out to bring a player of his calbre in especially since it was stated we tried earlier on and we couldn't get him. Also given the club hes just come from I reckon he'll be on a good wage too. Speculation of course, but the evidence at hand says we've probably punched above our weight bringing him in.

The site doesn't even store cookies on your computer, that was the first thing I attempted to do before trying other browsers. I'm talking to some guy on the live chat just now. He types slower than a week in jail and generally just seems clueless.

I agree with the Cup. Hutton was alright not outstanding, king of the barry ferguson sideways pass. Doesn't have the dig in him compared to a Paton though. Better than Naismith and Lennon for instance by a long shot anyway.

I'm unsure about it. He looked good against a part-time third division mob, hes 19, we won't get to develop him long term yet we'll expect him to step all the way up to the SPL and contribute to the first team and then lose him again? If we're contributing next to nothing to his wages fair enough nothing lost at all.

How the team plays in friendlies doesn't matter, the players we've brought in for the season ahead do though. I really hope Archie somehow has a surprise or two up his sleeve.

While not a close friend, he was a friend nonetheless and I spoke with him often. A genuinely good lad who I and many others will miss a great deal. He was a St. Mirren fan, not that it matters though. I'd rather people showed a bit of respect for him and those that knew him rarher than using this as forum gossip.

For some reason this is one of my favourite Thistle games. Crowd of over 4k, I remember a pipe band, youth match and all that playing before the game. Thing is though, I was 9 years old then and can't really remember a lot of specific details. Anyone fancy filling us in on some shit? Must have been 2.5-3k Thistle fans there?
