  1. I am pretty certain that if a team of tourists turned up they would let us in. Worth contacting the club to make sure if people plan to travel. Would be interested to hear of any cost-efficient travel/accommodation plans if they are found.
  2. Ryan Stevenson would be a great signing if we could keep him fit. Not so sure on Harkins, but can't see the harm in a year. Wonder if Wigan would take ATS then loan him out for a year? The boy they have signed today is a good player who will be first choice LB.
  3. CONFIRMED - It was mentioned that parents were using U16 tickets on occasion. CONFIRMED - It was mentioned that the system was being abused by some. CONFIRMED - It was mentioned that people were gaming the system. CONFIRMED - People were simply posting what had happened, I see no reason reps would have been lied to. Not quite sure what you mean about where the accusation has gone? I don't believe we were misled.
  4. I understand that other clubs offer this. The reason that I WILL be taking this type of ticket is the vile nature of these games. I am essentially reserving my right to not attend - I may end up at Firhill, but if I don't I won't feel like it is cash up the spout. The Wednesday night game at Firhill highlighted everything that was wrong with such occasions. I take the point it was an "exceptional night" but the behaviour of elements of (unfortunately) both sets of fans was abysmal.
  5. A very articulate response & exactly the point I was making.
  6. I'm pretty certain that there are still season ticket decisions to be made. For example, the pricing of a Celtic exclusive ticket - unless we were being lied to last night this is not written in tablets of stone. From what Maxi said last night (and as I previously noted he looked beleaguered) we don't have final call. A lady at the back and Davy raised points. Ian might have as well, and Manpreet said something. I'll reserve judgement until we hear more.
  7. What am I going to do? Wait and see what is put forward. Assess reaction within not only the group I represent but also the support at large. Wlll then engage with Board as appropriate. I'm not sure we can have specifics yet, as we don't know the proposal, we have a high level suggested point based on a 6 minute discussion at the meeting last night, concerns were raised as I noted. After that - we assess what the best option is and we move forward. Believe me when I say that this BOD know they didn't engage correctly on North Stand. Our young fans are the future of the club - we need to get the best deal for them. Not sure if some of the guys on here have the direct line of a rep. If not give me a shout and we can work something out.
  8. Improvements still being made - slow and steady. New stewards are G4S (I think) and catering manager is in.
  9. Concerns were raised last night by various people. This included comment on pricing structure and where people were to sit. To quote David Beattie - "we hear you". We will see what the Board come up with. As I pointed out, if we need to do more we will. To suggest that people are saying one attitude for adults, one for kids is useless. Can't help but think you have another agenda that you are trying to peddle.
  10. My perspective on the u16s issue - it was raised right at the end of the meeting by a slightly beleaguered Ian Maxwell. One of the issues is policing it (and some of the comments bear this out) and a figure of around 160 young fans being thrown out across the year plus over 150 unclaimed season books! A solution was discussed, and Davy Mains will be well placed to put forward his point. He raised some points. I can understand a cost being attached to it, but naturally we should look to keep this as low as possible. The club were always going to struggle to put a price in it after giving free entry - however we should remember that you pay at over 90% of other grounds. A nominal fee doesn't seem unreasonable. We also need to be careful here. Firstly we weren't in a position to get into a debate on it last night as we had no club statement/facts/time to consult with parents. So a bit tough to expect a host of questions to be pushed out. Secondly, the North Stand issue united the support. Other issues won't be so one tracked - and there shouldn't be an attitude of we backed you, so you must back us! If consultation is required I am certain that we will all get the heads together (perhaps in a less manic way than this week) and ensure we make credible representations to the board.
  11. Great outcome. We all relaxed when David Beattie said straight up that the Board were putting their hands up. I actually thought he came across pretty well - as we have always said the Board need to get better at communication and the quarterly forum for doing this is a step forward. Great news on stewarding and catering. Sensational news about North Stand. Not sure what to make of the u16s policy, although I felt the way Maxi explained it was reasonable I understand that some wont agree. Look forward to hearing more next week.
  12. It wasn't. TAG wasn't mentioned as we were sticking to winning the North Stand battle. Per the meeting in February TAG will be launched when the time is right (thinking out loud this could even be this week) and I would imagine that the Federation structure will work. The groups represented last night represented a good cross selection of the support, but with a Federation structure we can get even more coverage.
  13. Rid Skwerr - agreed, but as this is public information they know that we as fans/customers will be looking at it anyway. The board would be insane not to know we have intelligent people in our support. Joekea - if that is the case it would be suicide. A 2 sided stadium for a Champions League Football Club?
  14. An excellent initiative. Well done to all concerned.
  15. What has happened that has made you so interested in Propco on today of all days? It is something to do with building a bigger stick to beat the board with? The company was incorporated in early 2009 (from memory). I would suggest there would be 4 sets of accounts with Companies House. While the arrangement is not exactly ideal, lets not get bogged down in this.
  16. Going to attempt some live updates during meeting tomorrow. My tweet name is @andrewaholloway - will try to make it as insightful as possible (on the basis I get a good phone reception...).
  17. What are peoples thoughts on a season ticket excluding Old Firm games?
  18. I am attending the meeting on Friday and will be presenting a strong case for the current North Stand singing section to be re-instated in the North Stand. I will however not encourage or endorse any talk of boycotting games themselves. My way of dealing with this is withholding my money upfront on season ticket/TAG as well as the time I was willing to give to provide some assistance on the Centenary Fund. In my close group I respect the right of people to "not go back", that is fine by me. I will be at games next season - I do however firmly believe that the movement from the North Stand will end the singing section as people will disperse around the ground. I won't sit in the Main Stand because I simply can't stand it - I don't like bird poo, I like to wash my hands after going to the toilet, and I don't like my view being restricted by stanchions. That is my view - and I will be speaking to as many of the guys I go with as possible before Friday to canvas opinion. I won't be going in on a personal crusade. The mass hysteria and standard dredging of historic issues like Propco/Lack of Supporter Representation/Shareholding Structure amongst others is unhelpful at best, and at worst simply ridiculous. It is the classic reaction of Thistle fans. We are focussing on one issue and one issue only on Friday which is the North Stand singing section - if we can get our stand back then I will be happy, although I believe the board ruined (in my opinion) what could have been a great party on Saturday.
  19. I wrote to the club today. I'd urge people to keep this pressure up.
  20. Ian Maxwell runs the Centenary Fund. Eddie isn't involved. That is 2 facts.
  21. I made my views very clear in emails to the club after the last Celtic game about a "Celticless" season ticket. I noted I would buy a ticket, but I didn't want Celtic games as they are quite frankly disgusting. No response.
  22. Ian I was at Firhill on Saturday for what should have been a celebration of Wednesday’s result, and a great final day out. Unfortunately, due to some absolutely horrendous news that we received regarding the North Stand it wasn’t to be. Everybody around me was gutted and generally flabbergasted by the decision to move us to the Main Stand. I generally don’t even know where to begin with this – it’s an absolute disgrace. For avoidance of doubt here, I won’t be renewing my season ticket and I won’t be supporting TAG or becoming involved in any club initiative (for example the Centenary Fund) if this decision is upheld. You and the other board members have ruined all the goodwill arising from David Beattie’s recent interview on STV and also the recent fan engagement meeting re TAG. I can’t imagine how this was considered to be a good idea – it can hardly come as a surprise to you that there is so much negativity surrounding it. Can I also just say, that some of the suggestions you have made re upgrade of “facilities” in the Main Stand wouldn’t appease anyone. There aren’t any basins in the toilet I used at the Celtic game – I rest my case here. I don’t even want to get started on the reasons for this move. Believe me when I say I didn’t want to send this email – but this decision is simply disgusting. For years fans of PTFC have been treated with contempt by previous BODs. Finally the current Board made the right decision with the North Stand – and now it is back to square zero (I won’t even give this current situation square one status). I have copied this email to [email protected]. Best Regards, Andrew Holloway
  23. I won't be renewing until North Stand position is clarified. I know of various others who are exact same. I challenge anyone who believes in making a stand to do the exact same - no rolling over here.
  24. This guy has gone from a bit of a joker to a super option. Shows what some good work in the gym and self belief can do. I hope he gets re-signed.
