  1. Exactly. I remember Darren Ferguson being asked if he'd be asking his old man for some Man United players on loan when he was managing Peterborough in League One and he said there was no chance. They'd only be loaned to Premier or Championship sides.
  2. Webb's had 3 good games at the World Cup, but have seen a lot of him in the EPL this season and he was decidedly average so for him to have got the Champions League and World Cup finals is a bit bizarre.
  3. Said it elsewhere. Del Bosque has to drop Torres. Fabregas, Silva, Pedro and Navas are all better options on current form and allow Villa to play through the middle.
  4. Germany have been great to watch, but England and Argentina played right into their hands. Germany were happy to sit in and hit on the counter which against those defences was pretty straightforward. Schweinsteiger, Ozil and Muller have been superb though. Spain, on the other hand, have been criticised for sneaking through with odd goal wins, but have been faced by teams just wanting to defend and they have had to be patient. Torres has been woeful though and they really need to drop him for the Germany game.
  5. Hope they get gubbed in the final. I think I hate van Bommel (nasty, vicious, hacking cheat) more than any player ever! I'd hate to see him with a winner's medal.
  6. Is it likely to be Central Park we're going to? The last I heard they needed to spend £200k for it to meet requirements and they were exploring ground shares with Raith, Dunfermline, East Fife or Spartans. Anyone know the latest?
  7. Falkirk chairman questioning the lack of opportunity for promotion from the 1st!! Didn't hear him worrying about that when they were safely ensconced in the SPL. Still hope they beat Killie tomorrow though. Falkirk chairman
  8. Have to commend the Queens fans who travelled in good numbers. Surprised to see so many of them there.
  9. Typical Thistle. Spend 4 months missing chance after chance, and continued to do so today, then with the last kick of the season score an absolute cracker! Reminded me why I love this club. Very promising full debut from MacBeth and although he only got 10 minutes McGeough showed a bit of promise too. Fingers crossed they, and Burns, can make the breakthrough next season. Rowson man of the match for me today and easily player of the year.
