Yesterday was 50 up for Doolan. W 26 D 15 L 9 Goals F 102 A 60.
Impressive record. Now just add a promotion/cup double to the CV.

A Bobby Lawrie, Denis McQuade, or Bobby Houston clone would do nicely.
I’d prefer a Messi or Ronaldo clone myself.

We were never going to get a win after @Albert's Ghost started the match day thread so early. Got to be happy with a draw, but with the top 2 again dropping points we really need to be taking advantage.

Raith taking a thrashing. Currently Inverness leading 3-1

What is up with Graham ? I assume injured but for how long

It depends on the objectives as a Club - factoring in our limited resources
First objective is Promotion then push onto trying to get into Europe
If you have available cash then its money into the Recruitment and improve that side as its key to our future
After that if you have cash then you can afford to put it into non core parts of the Club
The decision is do you want success on the Park and Playing in Europe
I’d suggest that the women’s team is closer to playing in Europe than the men.
I also think that is a very narrow view on the objectives of the club. Yes winning the Champions League should be the ultimate goal. But not the only one -
Absolutely. Clearly tongue in cheek and exploiting the previous story with Taylor Swift. Nothing wrong with it and if it brings in more members or sponsors or investors then why not take advantage.

Same team as last week please. Don't rock the boat.
Do we not have some suspensions following the Morton game ?

I, for one, don't know where I would be without these regular rays of sunshine illuminating the pages of this forum.
I do look in here periodically, when I am feeling hopeful and upbeat. It is important to give myself a reality check.

I hope that Liverpool are not in for Doolan to replace Klopp.

No disrespect to Graham who will be 37 yrs next season but I would like our main strikers to be Adeloye and Diack, in a 3-5-2 formation, with Graham as our back up striker. We may well need to sign another striker.
We would need to change our manager before we start with 2 up front. Doolan has shown absolutely no inclination to that sort of formation. Also drop the most prolific striker we have had in years ? No thanks.

I think it would probably be Thomas that would think twice about coming to us. He would have a hard job displacing either Fitzpatrick or Lawless at the moment. Or does he play more in the same position as McInroy?
I think all 3 could play, with Fitz, Stevie and Dom rotating who was on the wing and who was down the middle supporting Graham. It would need better defensive cover in midfield, but that attacking 4 would be really hard to defend against.

Apparently Zac Rudden will be signing for Raith Rovers
Makes sense. They don’t currently have a player that runs around like a headless chicken.

Having an academy also creates future supporters, even if they don't make the first team. Not just the kids, but parents and friends can become regular supporters.

Are there any rumours about further signings? Do we have anyone 'in the know'? January is passing quickly!!
I wouldn't think there would be any further deals.

Is that the same as premature ejagulation? When you turn up at Firhill at 3pm on a Friday!
You need some spunk to make jokes like that

Such as?
Work on the stadium would take priority over another wide player who would be sitting on the bench while Fitz and Stevie start. We have enough backups for the rare occasions when one or other is not available. On field we need to shift an advanced midfielder and bring in a more defence minded one to get the balance right, but I don't see that happening and I think that the number of players is about right.
Edit to add - I assume that you did read this and appreciate the delicate financial position we are in. Wasting money on bringing in a player to sit on the bench is not a great idea.

Would still like to see another wide player added.
To sit on the bench ? Think we have better things to do with our money

More than a bit early to be starting a match thread. Bad omens come from it an I suspect we are now doomed.

What are the chances of all the 7 non-premier league teams avoiding each other ?

Very winnable

Watched along on iPlayer and very proud of the team. Fantastic achievement, I really hope to be able to see them in the final in March in the flesh
Great weekend all round for everyone at the club
If we get to see them in the flesh that would certainly increase the attendance !
Read that again and I think Derby Jag is in the flesh. Attendance has just evaporated

Where did you get the £28,000 gate receipts from mate?
He didn’t
£28k is the difference in prize money between losing to Ross and winning. He then says “plus gate receipts”

I was never much convinced by Rudden, but I suspect he was carrying an injury for much of his time with us. Anyway, not much fussed even if he does sign for Raith.
Cammy Kerr might be a useful addition to the defence. I still think we look a little light weight at the back and he has always looked solid when I’ve seen him.

And are the benefactors all wrong because they should be putting all their money into the men’s team because that is all that matters
