It depends on the objectives as a Club - factoring in our limited resources

First objective is Promotion then push onto trying to get into Europe

If you have available cash then its money into the Recruitment and improve that side as its key to our future

After that if you have cash then you can afford to put it into non core parts of the Club

The decision is do you want success on the Park and Playing in Europe

I’d suggest that the women’s team is closer to playing in Europe than the men.
I also think that is a very narrow view on the objectives of the club. Yes winning the Champions League should be the ultimate goal. But not the only one

I, for one, don't know where I would be without these regular rays of sunshine illuminating the pages of this forum.

I do look in here periodically, when I am feeling hopeful and upbeat. It is important to give myself a reality check.

No disrespect to Graham who will be 37 yrs next season but I would like our main strikers to be Adeloye and Diack,  in a 3-5-2 formation, with Graham as our back up striker. We may well need to sign another striker.

We would need to change our manager before we start with 2 up front. Doolan has shown absolutely no inclination to that sort of formation. Also drop the most prolific striker we have had in years ? No thanks.

I think it would probably be Thomas that would think twice about coming to us. He would have a hard job displacing either Fitzpatrick or Lawless at the moment. Or does he play more in the same position as McInroy?

I think all 3 could play, with Fitz, Stevie and Dom rotating who was on the wing and who was down the middle supporting Graham. It would need better defensive cover in midfield, but that attacking 4 would be really hard to defend against.

    Such as?

Work on the stadium would take priority over another wide player who would be sitting on the bench while Fitz and Stevie start. We have enough backups for the rare occasions when one or other is not available. On field we need to shift an advanced midfielder and bring in a more defence minded one to get the balance right, but I don't see that happening and I think that the number of players is about right.

Edit to add - I assume that you did read this and appreciate the delicate financial position we are in. Wasting money on bringing in a player to sit on the bench is not a great idea.

Watched along on iPlayer and very proud of the team. Fantastic achievement, I really hope to be able to see them in the final in March in the flesh

Great weekend all round for everyone at the club

If we get to see them in the flesh that would certainly increase the attendance !

Read that again and I think Derby Jag is in the flesh. Attendance has just evaporated

  7. I was never much convinced by Rudden, but I suspect he was carrying an injury for much of his time with us. Anyway, not much fussed even if he does sign for Raith.

Cammy Kerr might be a useful addition to the defence. I still think we look a little light weight at the back and he has always looked solid when I’ve seen him.
