  1. Surely no one better than an enlightened person like you
  2. Congratulations GJ. I think a draw may have suited us more, but maybe there was a bit of self interest in my thinking.
  3. Isn't football a funny game. Adam Barton may be my player of the season, but he was poor today. Our defence which has been great with Barton, was magnificent today. Our team were ok today, yet we easily beat a top four team, I do not think we played well today, yet won comfortably. A funny old game. But a great Saturday night.
  4. I meant to add students to the list, as this group will certainly see their income increase in future. Tickets could be collected from Aitken suit no later than 2 pm, giving time to spend money at the ground and introduce them to the mystique of Thistle
  5. I agree with this but also the fact that a day out at football with children for £22 is good value for money. I would like to see the club give more free tickets to certain parts of the community, encourage them to bring children. We have enough space in the ground. This could be community food banks, refugee help centres and local community centres. This will help to build a bond between the club and the community, and although some people may not be in a position to pay £22 for a ticket now, that may not always be the case.
  6. As an ex arsenal player during their famed 1-0 to Arsenal peiod, I'm sure he has a grudging admiration for St J.
  7. I'd keep Osnan on the bench, but probably replace him with someone rather than start with 10 players. Enter Edwards/Lawless

  9. 1-2 2-2 2-1 1 - 1 2-1 2 - 1 Hopefully not too late
  10. I think the Gordon situation will prove positive for Thiste. There was obviously an agreement in place allowing Ziggy to go once Muzzy was fit. Even though he still had 6 months left on a contract, both parties kept to their agreement to cancel the contract when the moment was right. We seem to have a good working atmosphere at the club where people enjoying working, and in the case of Andy Little, where the club allow others to use the facilities whilst trying to gain fitness. It is a good reputation to have and can help attract a player when money is not the sole reason for choosing a new team.
  11. Hi Phil, I hope I'm not too late. I'll take 2 please.
  12. Maybe I'm foolish Maybe I'm blind Thinking I can see through this And see what's behind Got no way to prove it So maybe I'm blind But I'm only human after all I'm only human after all Don't put your blame on me Don't put your blame on me Win
  13. There was a moment about 30 minutes into the game where Doolan tried to close down their right back, Gamboa (?). The player appeared to dive after passing to ball to Gordon but it was obvious Doolan had not touched him. Gordon was forced into a punt up the park. This was more deserving of a foul and a booking. I would like Archie to be a bit more vocal when we do not get these decisions. Rodgers made a point about the goal being offside and the assistant realising a mistake, chopped off the Welsh goal. Other teams make a point when they believe they have been treated harshly. This is not to have a decision overturned, but to ensure either it does not happen again or the referee evens things up.
  14. Very easy to categorise them as knuckle draggers, but unfortunately there are thousands of them whom we live beside, work with and possibly socialise with who also participate in the poison and hatred. And those who do not participate are just as bad if they idly stand by without saying anything. Mon the Jags
  15. We seem to switch off at throw ins and never catch on to the idea we have the extra man because one of their players is off the field. We should have a defender in front of their first player. The first goal came from a throw in, allowing McDonald time to receive the ball, turn and cross. We had a similar situation against Celtic last season. If you stop the cross coming into the box, it eliminates the chances of players colliding. Away defeats are never good, but when they charge £41 for one adult and 2 kids, equivalent at Thistle £22, it sticks in the throat a bit more. First away game this season and I thought the crowd were really flat, mirroring the team. Hopefully everyone will be in song come Saturday.
  16. It was reported a few weeks back there were only 8 recognised Scottish centre halves playing in our league that weekend, Lyndsey being one of them. I found it odd he was not previously picked for the under 21s, especially as last season he played a number of games, but understand why they are only picking players eligible for the next qualifying campaign. But he must be a player being monitored, not just as potential at international level. He has improved significantly since last season, and again in the last month.
