  1. Highlights up on BBC - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/scotland/29288898 It's a damn shame Doolan didn't take his second chance in the first half; the game would have probably been very different. Balatoni shocking for the first goal, Fox shocking for the second. If your keeper cannae f**kin' catch a ball he shouldn't be in the team. Seems like a fair enough penalty to me.
  2. The double substitution made by the Buddies reminded me of the changes Hartley made for Dundee - it was clear the opposition were changing things up, and we failed to react properly on both occasions. Worrying. Fox let everyone down by punching a ball he should have caught right into the danger zone.
  3. Jinx! We seem to have a mental block when playing teams we should be beating - it felt like the Hearts game last season. It's as if we think we just have to turn up to win - and we inevitably get outfought. How can we go from beating the top team in the league one week to defeat to this dross (as St Mirren fans surely must admit, their squad right now is shocking)? Typical Partick Thistle.
  4. Right, who's still f*****g raging at last night's result? No amount of forum downtime will stop the anger! That's the worst team I've seen play at Firhill for years, and yet we still let them go home with all three points. Surely at the very least, no-one can argue that Fox needs dropped. It's insane that his ball-punching, scrabbling about, headless-chicken antics are getting a game when we have Gallacher on the bench.
  5. 55 to 45 is hardly a decisive majority though - and wouldn't be if the result was reversed either.
  6. This thread is about the best Thistle goals, not the best opposition ones ... JOKE GUYS, CALM DOON
  7. Are we at the mercenary stage of our premier life-cycle? Or do people still have the hots for him because he scored a pretty goal for Scotland once? Maybe if St Mirren sign him it will keep Tommy Craig in his job a little while longer, thereby helping our survival immensely. Or should we stick Doolan back on the bench in preference for him?
  8. Hooray! Christmas comes early! Roll on 2016.
  9. Whoever loses has to sign him?
  10. Yes, that cycling strip nearly made me pop my monocle when I saw it first.
  11. Do you think when Craig inevitably gets his jotters, Prick "Chic" Young will waddle up on his high horse and brand New St Mirren Park a 'nest of vipers'?
  12. I remember looking at Dundee United's website a couple of seasons ago, where they advertised their season ticket sales with an online counter, trying to boost purchases to break a certain number. Who knows if that encourages more? I don't know why we wouldn't boast of our loyal ticket holders - unless they're abysmal.
  13. Yes, let's blame Inverness for well less than 3000 Thistle fans turning up to a home game on a sunny, warm September Saturday 3.00pm game.
  14. Firhill welcomes all reptiles - snakes, crocodiles, turtles, even skinks. We could do with the extra attendance.
  15. Will they, seeing as how radge they are this season?
  16. "Partick Thistle: Boss Alan Archibald craves consistency" The manager has obviously not been at Firhill long enough ...
  17. Uh, okay? Anyway peeps, it's hardly something to get worked up about. Regardless of your intentions, the most important referendum there will be in any of our lives is this Thursday. I highly doubt there will ever again anyone around Firhill pushing politics. At least some people thought your opinions mattered this time!
  18. Sounds like a great victory today! Well done Thistle. I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but the crowd was less than 3000 today. Is it my imagination or are we really struggling in that department? Bit hypocritical I know, but I will be there for the St Mirren match ...
  19. So, at some point in the future, it's reasonable to expect Dundee United to take him, and try to shaft us on the fee?
  20. Can it not be argued that Alex Ferguson is directly responsible for just how poor Manchester United now are? By not investing long-term in the squad he used up all the bog roll before buggering off out of the loo. You could blame it on the owners - they obviously have their faults - but it's not as if they haven't splashed insane amounts of cash when asked - this season and last.
  21. Why is it so important to have a league sponsor?
