  1. By the way, I want to watch Hurling-Shinty game on TV. Do you know when is the game played?

    J League

There are many East Asian players in the German Bundesliga. Chong Tese, a DPRK international striker, moved to Köln (1st Division at that time), but he did not make much impression. Köln were relegated and he is now warming bench in the 2nd Division. I hope that he will return to Japan in this summer. Japan's national team captain Hasebe (Volfsburg) has a hard time. Hasebe has not been listed in the squad in this season yet. However, because of the sucking the manager, the situation may change. The key player of Japan's national team is Endo (Gamba Osaka, former Asian champions). Gamba Osaka are now in the relegation trouble. If they got relegated, they would have to release 2 Japanese internationals (Endo and Konno). Japan's national team's problem is the lack of backup of Endo. However, there are some talented young players. Nürnberg are going to sign Ogihara (Cerezo Osaka), young and talented player who can do defensive MF and CB. I hope that he will succeed at Nürnberg. Usami at Hoffenheim is now playing well and making impressions as am offensive MF. He wasted a year at Bayern München. He was loaned to Bayern München but he was given little chance. He should have choose Hoffenheim instead Bayern München.

  4. By the way, is Dunfermline Building Society a sponsor of the Pars?
  5. Several years ago I had a girlfriend from Limerick. So I have a Limerick GAA top (green). I am a very shy person; so I do not have many friends here. I am looking for a Scottish or Irish or Manx girlfriend. By the way, in Scotland there are Catholic and de-facto Protestant primary schools. Which schools do atheist parents send their children to?
  6. Hampden will be reformed to an athletic stadium for the Commonwealth Games. Firstly, why is there no decent athletic stadium in Scotland? Secondly, are the Commonwealth Games necessary? Third, are the Athletics necessary for the Commonwealth Games? I am from Japan, where there are incredible number of athletic stadiums. For me I cannot believe that there is no good athletic stadium while there are Hampden, Parkhead, Ibrox, Murrayfield. And are the Commonwealth Games necessary? The top athletes like Usain Bolt will never come to the games. If the Commonwealth Games are necessary, the games should be only the sports which are not very popular outside the Commonwealth, like Bowling (Lawn Bowls). There is no need for athletics or swimming, because there are world championships every 2 years and they are in the Olympics (although I think that the Olympics should be abolished).
  7. Barcelona did not kick long-corner in the 1st half at all. All were short-corners. Short-corners were not very effective because of Celtic's defense in the centre area.
  8. Barcelona 2-1 Celtic The game was overwhelmingly dominated by Barcelona. Scores like 5-1 were possible. Now Celtic have to beat Spartak at home and Benfica away. By the way, deciding the game by the number of corners would make sense. Corners in today's game -- Barcelona 15 and Celtic 1.
  9. don't put it on here...privacy is important for me. Because of my political position, I have many enemies on the internet.
  10. And an important Marxist philosopher Heo Manwon (허만원) was also from Jeju. He was grown up in poverty. He came to Japan after the bloody suppression of the 1948 Uprising, and studied at a Korean Highschool and Japanese universities. He supported the DPRK of course, but he became critical of the cult of personality in the 1970s, and broke relationship with the Chongryon (General Association of Korean Residents in Japan). He passed away in 2005.
  11. Oh, he was a former Thistle player! Thank you for telling me that. Jeju United has many problems. First, the population of Jeju (less than 300,000) is not large enough. Second, the stadium is an athletic stadium with 400m truck and the stand is too large (built for the 2002 World Cup).
  12. Organise Class Abstention! And you should understand the worldwide nature of capitalism. Recently many argue about "globalisation", but that is wrong. There is nothing new about "globalisation", since capitalism has been a world phenomenon since the 1st World War. Socialism in one country is impossible. A socialist Scotland will be impossible without a European revolution, and world revolution. Scottish independence is in no sense a working class agenda, who has no "their own" country (Communist Manifesto).
  13. What is Austin Powers? By the way, one of my friends is a boxing coach of the DPRK national team, and came to London for the Olympics. In the DPRK Boxing is very popular sport, only second to football.
  14. Probably yes. I was queuing for coffee. I am a fish vegetarian, but not so strict. If there is no other choice, I eat meat. I hope that there will be vegetarian choices, such as mashed potato (by soy milk). And I do not think that eating meat is morally wrong -- I simply think that stock farm production is wasteful. So I do not deny hunting of wild boars and deer. (In Japan, because of the extinction of Japanese Wolf, there are too many wild boars and deer and they are making damage on agriculture.) As for the custom of eating dog in China and Korea (and at some Korean restaurants in Japan), I do not think that it is morally correct. Many argue that the habit of eating dogs is a cultural tradition, but that is not true. I am not very familiar with the Chinese history of eating dogs, but in Korea the habit of eating dogs is relatively new, popularised in the 1980s. And the humankind has a long history of the relationship with dogs as companion animals over 10,000 years. And I always like patches when they exist. I asked Glasgow Warriors about the availability of the Heineken Cup patch, but it was not available. I asked Cliftonville about the IFA Premiership patch, and they answered that I could sponsor a player and would be given a game-worn shirt at the end of season. But I did not want player name & number. After telling them that, they told me to wait the next season. However, they do not answer me for months despite new season has started (Cliftonville is now top and Linfield dirty scum is the 8th).
  15. Could you tell me who Jimmy Saville is?
  16. Well, I am not a "North Korean". My grandfather was from Jeju Province, Korea's South Island. Jeju is famous for the April 3 Uprising in 1948, ended in the bloody suppression by the US imperialist military regime.
  17. 1. Larger benches Now each bench has only 8 seats. 8 are too small. How many seats in larger stadiums, such as Hampden, Parkhead, or Ibrox? 2. Clock and Score Board There is no 45mins clock and score board. The fans do not know the exact time. And the clock must show the additional time (although I am strongly against the additional time system and in favour of playing-time system like Futsal). And I was surprised when I attended Hampden (Queen's Park v Annan Athletic), the board only show the normal time, not game time. 3. Larger turf Turf should be spread out to the end. Currently the turf is only about 1~2m from the touch line. By the way, can we break into the pitch when we secure promotion at home? I remember West Brom's "Great Escape", the supporters spread into the pitch when West Brom's survival was secured.
  18. There are only 2 choices -- there are more options needed. Abstention and Spoiling ballot.
  19. Nice to meet you. By the way, what does "Jordanhill/Aberdeen" mean? Normally away supporters are in the stand behind the goal, but today there were "Jordanhill Jags" and I could not find Airdrie supporters. What are the cars on the City End? And I do you sell the jerseys with the "Show Racism the Red Card" patch? I want to mail to a female student of the Department of Education, University of Strathclyde.
  20. Oh, you are clearly influenced by Stalinism. Are you a CPS sympathiser? Lenin's "elaboration of the theory of the uneven development of capitalism" is Stalin's invention. Uneven development is not a peculiar feature of capitalism or imperialism. Stalin's "actual building of socialism in the U.S.S.R." was in reality a building a prison state, and betrayal all internationalist principles, such as USSR-German Treaty and Popular Fronts. You must study history and understand how Stalinism is the opposite of Marxism.
  21. Don't vote -- organise! The working class has no choice between 2 bourgeois camps -- defense of the UK or an independent capitalist Scotland. The SSP's slogan of an "independent socialist Scotland" is a sham, because socialist revolution cannot be achieved in a framework of the bourgeois nation states -- we need a worldwide and permanent revolution. And, with the demise of social democracy (New Labourism) and Stalinism, the era of electoral politics has come to an end. The proletariat must turn away from ballot box now. In Japan I have been voting in the Vote of Confidence of the Supreme Court in order to say "no" to all judges, but I have been abstaining from all elections, after the degeneration of the New Socialist Party (the NSP was a left-wing split from the old Socialist Party which joined the bourgeois government in 1994).
  22. Stalin was in no sense a Marxist or communist. Stalin destroyed the very basis of the proletarian politics -- internationalism -- by his theory of "socialism in one country". We are seeing the ugly results of that -- degeneration of the former CPs into nationalism, like the Japanese Communist Party who advocate "real independence from the USA" (independence for Japanese imperialism???).
  23. Just now I attended a Heineken Cup game between Glasgow and Ulster (Glasgow lost 8-19) at Scotstoun. I was surprised that there was a provisional stand for Ulster fans. I asked a staff "Is this permanent or for Heineken Cup games?", and the staff answered "for Heineken Cup games". If Scotstoun can build a provisional stand in a week or so, we can easily build a stand in the City End of Firhill (1,000-1,500 seats enough). Tomorrow I will attend Firhill. If it is not rainy, I will be around the ticket booth. I am 171cm tall, with glasses. Please talk to me, but I do not understand informal English, or too fast English, or too strong accent.
  24. I want a supporters bus on that day. Or let's meet at Glasgow Central Station.
  25. By the way, according to the BBC website, the number of corners are: Condenbeath 14 and Partick 6. Why did we concede so many corners?
