  1. Thank you for the kinds words. I simply do something that I enjoy doing - trying to help our football club so it is not a chore at all. As you correctly point out the people who are all contributing through their online purchases and searches deserve a huge amount of thanks as it is a real team effort. I hope he won't mind me mentioning him but Sunnylaw Jag has made a big contribution since he signed up and people like that are what we need to keep progressing. I will soon be making a two pronged attack on you all when I add buying 50/50 tickets to my contributions on the forum as well. The superb performances of our youngsters in the recent tournaments shows what we can achieve if we can assist the youth development side of the club through the half time draw. Thanks again for your continued support!
  2. That is a very good point and Higgy is an example of that - he was in Huddersfield's plans at the start if last pre season so we could not get him then but things changed and we eventually got him. Interesting to see that Barr turned out for Motherwell today in their friendly.
  3. As we start the second month of this quarter we are currently at £1,254 raised so lets keep moving forward with this and help raise important funds for our football club: http://www.easyfundr...stlefundraising If we all work together on this then we can make a positive impact on our club. Thanks for your support!

  5. I believe there is a game tomorrow so we will be playing CSKA Moscow. Hopefully the boys can win but regardless of the result they (and the Foyle Cup winning squad) have been a credit to themselves and our club.
  6. It appears that the Club have changed their mind as the link in my original post now shows away U16s are to pay £5. Whilst this is what was in place last season I am annoyed. My annoyance is not with the actual pricing it is with the fact someone at the club has put incorrect info on the website then after realising what has happened sneaked out the change. If people make a mistake (I know I make plenty) then hold your hands up and admit it then correct it - don't try and be smart and sneaky about it. As it appears that people from the club do read this forum and act on what they see so if someone at Firhill could please get the official website updated as we are nearly at the start of the season and it is hugely out of date - thanks!
  7. From the facebook page: The newly refurbished Aitken Bar will be open for the first time on Wednesday 6th August for our friendly against Sunderland from 5.30pm. There will be free pies prior to the match and a chance for you to try our "Jaggy Thistle" Lager We look forward to seeing you all there!
  8. There are lots of retailers on easyfundraising who will make a donation to our cause without you actually making a purchase: http://www.easyfundr...free-donations/ Lets all work together on this so we can generate as much as possible for our football club. Thanks for your support!
  9. Anyone going to this as it will be interesting to see how it compares to recent seasons? I missed it last season but if it gets back to the standard it was a few years ago I would definitely drop hints when asked what do you want to do for your birthday?
  10. In this article Archie states that he wants the transfer work done by August so we are still on target if he is talking about the end of the transfer window (and even if we are looking at the start of the season that is still 2 weeks). I would expect that after the friendly today there will be progress on signings but if not we have to back Archie's judgement. http://www.eveningti...67665n.24398514
  11. The Aitken Suite is looking a bit different to the last time I was in there. Who will be asking for a pint of Jaggy Thistle? https://www.facebook.com/ptfcevents
  12. If you plan to buy anything from tesco direct then going through easyfundraising will help to raise funds for our football club: http://www.easyfundr...k/tesco-direct/ We can make a positive impact on our club if we work together on this. Thanks for your support!
  13. Hopefully when he comes back he will get a long interrupted run as he is a good player. Also reminds us of the importance of having a good physio at the club who can maybe get a player back a week or two earlier. Sorry to be a bore but as the club have not updated the website or made any announcement - does anyone know who our new physio is?
  14. If you think you are the next Rory McIlroy but just a new club or two then by buying here through easyfundraising you can raise important funds for our football club: http://www.easyfundr.../american-golf/ If we all work together on this then we will be having a positive impact on our club. Thanks for your support!
  15. Obviously you don't want to be down to 10 men (or less) during a game and with a tight squad you don't want suspensions but there is a financial element as well which I certainly was not aware of: http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/scottish_fa_news.cfm?page=2986&newsID=13515&newsCategoryID=1
  16. Here is the free donations section of easyfundraising and anything you can do here will be much appreciated as it only takes a few people using a few of these to make a decent contribution to our football club: http://www.easyfundr...free-donations/ Lets continue in our efforts to raise as much as possible for our club. Thanks for your support!
  17. If you are searching the internet (perhaps for details over players we are linked to or sign) then please do so through easysearch as each completed search generates money for our cause: http://wearethistlef...ysearch.org.uk/ Lets work together on this as it is something which benefits our club. Thanks for your support!
  18. Don't worry parents the kids will be going back to school before too long and if you get them kitted out with online purchases through easyfundraising it will help to raise important funds for our club: http://www.easyfundr...back-to-school/ We, as supporters, can really help our club generate more funds through using easyfundraising extensively. Thanks for your support!
  19. The top is excellent and the socks go with the top but white shorts don't make a good mix - darker shorts would make it a really great strip.
  20. If you are buying anything from Argos if you can do it online via easyfundraising that will raise important funds for our football club: http://www.easyfundr...g.org.uk/argos/ If we can all work together on this that will make a real difference to our club. Thanks for your support!
  21. I would estimate after prizes you are looking at around £50,000 per year.
  22. It appears that all U16s will be admitted for free this season: http://ptfc.co.uk/matchday/admission_prices I know there was something mentioned about U16s pricing at the meeting held over the North Stand issue but good to see that we wlll be taking this approach. On a seperate note has another meeting been arranged as the notes from the last one stated there would be one arranged once the fixtures were announced?
