Partick Thistle Women - Season 25/26
Fawlty Towers replied to Fawlty Towers's topic in Main Jags forum
Bit of a blow losing Imogen and Carla on top of Tiree, will need some good recruitment to replace them. https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-news/ptwfc-squad-update/ -
I only found out today that there has been a change to the rules for the group stage of the League Cup this season and you can play 2 trialists in a game so we might see Moore play as a trialist on Friday to see him in a competitive match.
-
Now that the summer holidays are upon us if you are still to book something or need to get some new clothes, etc this is when using easyfundraising will be really helpful if you are doing so online. If signed up already with The Jags Foundation as your cause then great and if signed up with wearethistle or The Jags Trust as your cause you can easily change that to TJF. If not signed up at all it is very easy to do so and it does not cost you anything above what you are buying. https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/the-jags-foundation/ Thanks.

He might have fallen out with McCall but he was certainly playing right up to the end of the season. https://ptfc.co.uk/fixtures/first-team/archive/first-team-2020-21/

Match report on Hamilton game: https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-match-report/partick-thistle-v-hamilton-accies-5th-july-2025/

So 3 wins from 3 as we head towards the start of the league cup might indicate it is not as doom and gloom as some had it a few weeks ago but squad is still a bit light so hopefully we will see some more signings before Friday night - a striker being the obvious position that needs attention.
-
Have not heard anything since the ICT game but sounded as if Diack had taken a bad injury so with striker looking like being the priority going in to the league cup games good to see Moore get a goal.
-
Today we have the closed door game against Hamilton and there is a youth tournament in which we are taking part so it could be that it is a very young squad playing in the tournament or guys like Falconer, Low, etc playing in the tournament with the Hamilton game having some more trialists involved. I am always amazed with friendlies, even if they are closed door, at how many people know who trialists are anyway.

Cammy Logan's signing confirmed: https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-news/cammy-logan-arrives-at-the-wyre-stadium-at-firhill/

15:48 Scott Burns Thistle deal on table for Cammy Logan Partick Thistle have offered a deal to Cammy Logan. The former Hearts defender has impressed while on trial at Firhill. Jags boss Mark Wilson has now put an offer on the table. The 23-year-old is expected to sign. He is a free agent after leaving Forfar Athletic. Logan has also had a spell at Queen of the South.

Partick Thistle Women - Season 25/26

Gibb is off to Hibs, have not seen anything about Burchill yet. -
Will be interesting to hear the opinions of those at the game as it sounded like the "game of 2 halves". Good to get 2 wins from 2 games and to show we can come back from a losing position but clearly tougher games lie ahead and still need to add to the squad.

Such sad news, not only was Mr Reid a Jags fan of many years standing he was a true gentleman. Condolences to his family and many friends.
-
Thanks to those who have provided updates. Good to get through the game without any knocks by the sound of it and on to a stronger test against ICT on Tuesday night. I won't be there but has it been explained why the game is at Petershill - I assume it is to protect the playing surface at Firhill but would be nice if the club actually communicated the reason for this.

The Jags Foundation - News Bulletin Thread
Fawlty Towers replied to Woodstock Jag's topic in Main Jags forum
Remember as well that the money that has been donated so far was prior to TJF becoming part of easyfundraising. So far 20 people have signed up with TJF as the cause but there are still 136 people signed up to wearethistle and 123 for The Jags Trust - if the majority of those changed to TJF and a few people not signed up at all joined we could have 300+ people all generating funds each time they shop online. So please if you are signed up for easyfundraising but not with TJF as your cause please change over and if you are not signed up please consider doing so. Thanks. https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/ -
With the first pre season game tomorrow against Glenafton if we don't have any injuries from pre season we can get a squad of 19 players if we include the modern apprentices but I would imagine we will see a couple of players from the Trialist family making an outing. Looking forward to an actual game rather than some of the issues which have been doing the rounds here. Also, note to Michael Max or whoever is doing Jagzone commentary - the performance and result do matter. I have always hated the "it is only a friendly" attitude, it is a game of football and an opportiunity for standards to be set and a winning attitude established (plus people are paying to watch it).

Not quite. £12,500 per month to the football club. £2,000 per month to the youth academy. At least £5,000 over the season to the womens team. -
Just received mine and it was a small envelope but the card itself is sturdier than last season's one at least.
