  1. Wee dollop of pics from today's painfully brutal game against ferranti Thistle are now available for viewing below; - Stuck in as many happy fan pics in as possible to mask the pain. That's three times so far this season we've suffered from last gasp goals, and once we've benefited from them. Anyone still leaving ten minutes from time?
  2. Pics from yesterday's win over Hair Untied are now available for viewing below; - Squidy smiling - supporters celebrating - and a fox frolicking. All in one easily digestible lump.
  3. A "fans special" set of pics from yesterday is now available for viewing below; - Special thanks to the mad skwad behind the goal for the pose down and the brilliant "2 up" song that I won't repeat in a family forum. Edited to add: - yes, I am aware of my "deliberate" shpelling mishtook near the end.
  4. Pics from yesterday's win over Queens are now available for viewing below; - We won it - thanks to a wing and a prayer (picture hints there).
  5. Oops. never even spotted that. Oh dear.
  6. I spoke to him literally 30 seconds after he signed the contract. I'm not normally one for badge kissing, but the guy is genuinely chuffed to bits about signing for us. You can usually tell if someone's flanneling, but this was genuine enthusiasm and excitement.
  7. Dollop of pictures from yesterday's draw against Accies are now available via the (so far) excellent Picasa site by battering your button below; - Who needed Brad - he's too old. If Christie Elliot keeps delivering the goods, he can be Pitt the Younger. (I'll get me coat ). Gorra love the smileys.
  8. Excellent morning all-round for the Jags, FT. The Under-17's beat Rossvale 5-3 in their 10am start today. They could have scored 8 or 9, such was the gulf in quality. Some seriously impressive displays from the youngsters today, under Ian Cameron's watch. Hope to get some match pics up through the week.
  9. A dose of pics from yesterday's gane against Falkirk are now available for viewing below; - One of the Thistle players dropped a 10p coin when leaving the ground. A Falkirk player picked it up later. Hope that's the last win bonus they get against us this season.
  10. Here they are - pics from yesterday's "controversial" defeat. Do the usual clicky thing below; - More fan pics added to show there were at least SOME smiles in places. It was a day for drowning your sorrows. Alcohol-free wheat beer just didn't do the business.
  11. It's never been an issue at Firhill the way it has been with some other grounds. Many's the time I've taken pics of fans from trackside with their own cameras - mostly with PeeTee in the picture, right enough. Always happy to do so.
  12. Pics from yesterday's disappointment are now available for viewing in the seemingly enjoyed Picasa site via the link below; - The ref showed more red & yellow than our strips did. >( Ah well - onwards and upwards.
  13. Definitely confirm we won 1-0 yesterday with a 2nd half goal. personally speaking, I think it was a bit of a rip, Rossvale charging 4 quid entry for a friendly against our under-19s. We never charge when any of our guys play at Petershill, and I know a few folk turned back when told that. Still, the youngsters won out against a pretty physical opposition.
  14. Unfortunately, probably none Will. I discovered that my sore back last week is the result of a degenerative spine condition (no jokes, folks). It's either osteoporosis or one other - they're running tests, which brought about yesterday's shots as a kind of "last hoorah" for different types of shots. My next "cunning stunt" (always loved that spoonerism ) will probably to try and find a good orthopaedic chair for photographers. One very touching thing is that since I found out about my condition, I've had offers from a few very lovely people to carry my camera bag for me when it gets too much. The simplest unselfish gestures can reach through the hardest of hearts. My heartfelt respects go out to them. Edited to add: - When I said, "no spine jokes please", I forgot to say best of luck finding any new fish puns to suit.
  15. Pictures from the win against Stenhousemuir, taken from a unique perspective, are now available for viewing below; - Swaying and Praying - Snapping and Flapping. Quite good fun taking these, but definitely an effective laxative. Hope you enjoy them.
  16. Apologies for the unusual style of the pictures this time, but you may like them. Due to increasing and regressive back pain, I was kindly allowed to take my pics from the main stand, where I could support my back. Unfortunately I had to leave before the end when the pain got too bad, but not before I caught the winning goal. Pics are now available to view below; - They came. They saw. We conquered. Caption humour brought to courtesy of Ibuprofen, Co-Dydramol and Dihydrocodeine.
  17. Listened to little_miss_jag and I'm going to see how I can do with this seasons pics with picasa. Set of pics from last night's testimonial for the excellent Jags and Motherwell servant Steven Craigan are now available for viewing below; - Are these clearer to see than last season?
  18. Charlie's still chasing up a couple of folk concerning their orders for the photos, but I'm going ahead with printing the rest today or tomorrow, and they should be popping through your letterboxes next week, hopefully. Apologies for the delay folks.
  19. Firstly, sorry to the admin for putting this on the main page, but it's relevant to Thistle, so hope it's cool with them. As folk know, I had to switch to webshots last season after my fotopic page disappeared (company went bust). Trouble with webshots is that folk can't copy my pics, and the whole idea of me doing these is that fellow fans can just copy pics they like to enjoy at leisure. There's due to be a replacement to fotopic, called Pikfu, but it's still not up and running. Unfortunately, recent circumstances mean I can't make it down to Blyth today, but I'd like to be able to get pics up as soon as possible after today, so if anyone could recommend a free photo share site that'll allow folk to see decent size images - AND allow them/you to download ones you like, I'd appreciate the heads up. At the moment, the ones that interest me are Picasa, Windows Live Photos and a place called "DeviantART" (sic), simply because it's a cool sounding name. Has anyone used these places, and could recommend/tell me to avoid them? There are a few very unique Thistle pics to go on already from the past week, so help would be appreciated. Fish puns ARE acceptable on this thread (I hope). Edited to add. Absolutely gutted to miss Blyth today. The last time we all went, it was a blast, but c'est la vie. Hope the folk travelling have fun.
  20. Not until after 9pm. Seriously though, these are the official pictures for folk to purchase. Ami and the Score Angels performed on the day as an additional treat for those who turned up. They may be on the DVD, although I can't be certain on that. Edited to add. I know that they're not tightly cropped, nor are they all necessarily exciting for folk not participating to look at, but I kept the shots wide so that some players (or their families) might spot themselves on the outside of the shots, and make a purchase, which is all good for club funds.
  21. You asked for them, so here they are. The full set of action and presentation pics are now available for viewing (and more importantly purchase) below; - http://community.webshots.com/user/FirhillCup Check out how to order by reading the onfo. on the relevant page of ra feeshul site, viz ------> aw the stuff you need to know. Team pics tend to be at the front of the set, and cup presentation & raffle prize presentation pics are roud about the end. Enjoy (although a reminder that there are 729 of them).
  22. The update on the official action pics is that the website is now complete. Sorry for the delay, but Webshots is a site that's murder to upload to. I've sent all the access info. to Charlie, so you should be getting the details on ordering very soon. Be warned though. You'll have to root around for that "special" one of you scoring/saving/tackling/sleeping/WALKING IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA! (we know who you are, and I'll remind you that you DID promise to buy the pic! ). They're pretty much in order, but there are a lot of them. 729 pictures, to be precise. To help a bit, the individual team pics are at the start of the collection, and the finals pics of both teams, raffle prize winners and cup presentation are at the end. And don't worry lennythistle, I DO have at least one of you making a good save!
  23. Yeah sorry dax. I'm normally good for getting the goals, but this once (sods law with it being a special one), a Raith Rovers defender conspired to run in front of me right at the critical moment. If anyone manages a similar strike at the Firhill Cup today, I'll Photoshop Rowser's head onto the body and claim it was him. I'm sure nobody'll notice the difference. BTW, remember that once the pics are up on the Firhill Cup official photo site, you don't have to be the player in it to order a print at just £3 (or a fiver if you wish to donate - cheers Willjag). Family members can order any as well as a nice surprise for someone they love, so everyone can see a picture of them dying in a pool of their own sweat.
