  1. I'd take him back in a minute. Normally when players leave us it doesn't bother me that much but 2 outgoing transfers in the last 8 years were tough to take, Harkins and when Burns left for Motherwell. After Burns left though, Grady took up some of the goalscoring burden the following season but Harkins is different. There isn't a better player in the league on his day and we had no chance of replacing him.
  2. Yes, and they are not good enough.
  3. The reason we lost today is because we do not have good enough players. Blaming systems and motivation is hiding from the truth.
  4. Don't think thats the issue. The bottom line is our players are not good enough. We are ineffective in the final third. Buchanan is not good enough, neither is Doolan. We have a lack of pace and are devoid of ideas at times. Look at the Dunfermline front players today, miles better than ours, Cardle on the wing, again we have nothing like that. They are not great but better than us. We are not competing with these teams, our players cannot compete in this division. We can pass the ball all day but if we can't create then we will continue to lose games. Interseting quote from McCall in the After Match Reaction, 'not many options open to me', hinting that he can only piss with the c*ck he's got. Well if this situation is purely down to lack of money then we are f*cked. However, if he feels these players are good enough then he has to carry the can because they are clearly not.
  5. There's a lot of discussion on this thread about 'would she', 'wouldn't she', 'is she a H.un', 'is she a tim', 'is she that daft' etc etc. All very valid points, but when a Club is edging towards the state we are, where's the harm in askin' the wummin????? The worst she can say is 'no yous are sh.ite'. You don't ask, you don't get. Plus she's got two crackers playin' up front. Edit - because I wanted to write H.un
  6. Think I'm on my own here but I quite like going to Cappielow if I'm honest!!!
  7. How did you get on in the end mate? Hope you got the info you were after and got into the ground etc. What team do you support yourself?
  8. It is always hard to judge the crowd when you are actually there, I arrived quite late, about 2.55pm and there was still loads of bodies milling about outside. A lot waiting in line for tickets etc and I thought the crowd might be quite healthy. When I got inside I thought it was quite busy aswell. I did think there was upwards of 3,000, considering Dundee brought a half decent support. Maybe its the old tax-dodging trick!!
  9. Great news, well done!
  10. Thought we were really good today. Pressed high up the park and held onto the ball really well at times. Paddy Boyle was excellent, aggressive in the tackle and supported well going forward, deserved his Man of the Match and the fact he isn't getting pelters is helping him. Thought Liam was quiet first half but came good later and held the ball up pretty well before he went off. Big Grehan did well in the air, would like to see him fill out a bit though and get a bit of weight on, he could become the presence we have been missing. Paul Paton put not a bad ball in with his left foot aswell!! He did OK today I thought. Pleased with the defence too. In fact I'm f*ckin' delighted!!
  11. I know, i've taken back my negativity and put it down to general pissed-off-ness!!
  12. Fair enough, a bit harsh from me I admit!! I just get depressed at the fact we have to use these means to generate an atmosphere at Firhill, but needs must I suppose.
  13. Surely if he walked then he wouldn't be due a penny?? Unless an agreement was made where he resigned instead of being sacked as it sounds like his relationship with the Board had just about collapsed.
  14. Nah, I'm hanging off for the Scottish!!
  15. Those flags are stupid looking, the type used when wee teams get to League Cup finals etc.
  16. The back 4 cause me concern.
  17. Did you mean that??!!
  18. I am all for boys trying to make the atmosphere better at Firhill, because everyone knows it could do with a lift. Fair enough if a few groups of guys stand together and form a bigger group, but why does it need to have a name??? Can you not just be a big group of Jags fans that stand together and sing?? That's all that's needed, home and away. Couple of requests though if this does take off; 1. Please, please, please don't involve a drum in any way at all. 2. Stick to the tried and tested songs!! 3. Don't try and make it 'family friendly', if guys don't want their weans involved then they will have to wait till they are older. All the best with it.
  19. Firstly, Chelsea wre excellent on Sunday. They scored early and when Caldwell was sent off they did what they had to do to win the league and they did it ruthlessly and with a lot of quality. I like to see that. However, I am disappointed Man Utd couldn't make it 4-in-a-row when they had such a big chance. They came through a ridiculous period of injuries to defenders (Carrick and Fletcher playing in the centre of defence!!), lost stupid points to teams like Burnley and lost a 40-odd goal winger before a ball was kicked. All this and yet the title went down to the last day, so in bitterness I'd say the title was lost rather than won!! Chelsea have looked great on occasion but a "top drawer team" would have gone further in Europe and won that league at a canter. PS- Drogba was a mile offside at Old Trafford!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. I can see us having a nightmare with next season's home strip. I grudgingly accept them arsing about with the away strip for a bit of publicity and exposure but in my opinion the home strip should not be the result of some PR experiment, which sounds likely if, as stated by others, it's going to be "arty". That worries me. Are we going to end up with some monstrosity because the club tried to be trendy to live upto this 'westend' pish?
