Get them on the 'Raging Bitch' next time. From Flying Dog Brewery in the States - really tasty Belgian Pale Ale style beer and a meaty 8.3% ABV! Mmmm.

O-kay... On a positive note, I was at the Barcelona v Villareal game recently and the standard is really high - great players. But if good football's not your thing, probably best to avoid.

For those of you not wishing to pay the hideous prices Sky charge (I'm not bitter), we'll be showing the match tonight in HD with commentary on. I suppose it's the Spanish equivelent of Thistle v Clyde... To help you get in a suitably Spanish (or Catalan) mood, we've got bottles of Estrella Damm for £2.00 and pints of the stuff for £3.00! Hopefully it will be a good game - they usually are and the Mourinho factor should make it that wee bit more interesting!

Ah. That makes sense! We had Hefeweizen from WEST brewery in Glasgow on draught, but we've been changing it over from time to time (they don't always make enough to sell to other bars). In October we had their Oktoberfest beer and we've currently got their Munich Red. At some point in the next couple of weeks we'll move onto their Winterfest beer. However, the Hefeweizen should be back in the new year once they stop making their chrimbo specials - which are also very, very good!

Methinks you must be mistaken! We've never had Erdinger on draught! Or at all for that matter! Glad u like the half n half tho!

I think that any effort to support Partick Thistle should be applauded. My only concern about this event is the day - Friday night? People go for dinner with the wife or pub with mates on a Friday. This is more of a midweek event - if people don't have anything else on they're more likely to attend. Just my thoughts and I wish the Trust all the very best for future events.

Don't have the space - would like one! No jukebox either, but we do have an iPod dock and would be happy to play some (respectable) tunes - just ask nicely at the bar! We'll stick on a couple if promos over weekend to help u enjoy it without the Jags! Personally I'm just looking forward to El Classico on Monday night! Estrella Damm will be flowing... I cannot believe that the SPL games are going ahead. What a joke. Celtic cause all this nonsense and, as usual, everybody BUT them suffer. Utter nonsense. The SFL clubs should all write to Celtic (and a couple of other SPL teams) to complain and send them a bill for loss of revenue. Refs ain't striking cos Queens Park, Elgin or Stirling had a go! Total joke. Also a bit annoyed at refs - they should just have refused to do the SPL. This action is hurting those who can least afford it.

It'll be at least 1am, but maybe, just maybe, a wee bit o 'afters' too...

It's not ideal, but totally winable! Will be tough, but would be great to beat them and get a decent draw in 5th round! Mon' the Jags!!!

I'm from Beith - stayed my first 19 years there - not a great place but certainly not as bad as all that! I think it would be a cracking day out. However... Beith playing well and the pitch is one of the worst you'll ever see - quite the 'leveller'. I wouldn't be too confident!

Ah, the old Oktoberfest... I did warn folk that it's stronger than it tastes!!! As for the shots, I hear that they were delicious! If only all pubs could be full of Jags fans all the time - best laugh I've had in ages! Hopefully see some of you after spanking Falkirk on Saturday!

Big thanks to all who turned out! Great atmoshpere. Shame about the result, but it was nearly like being at Firhill with the top quality singing and banter! My dad came in briefly (his fault I'm a Thistle fan) and I felt kinda proud that the place was full of Thistle fans! Thanks for coming and you're all very, very welcome whenever you want!

Can't sell Tennents any cheaper cos it's one of 3 things I've got to get via the lease and it's far too expensive... Also got Estrella Damm, Belhaven, Addlestones, Guinness, Oktoberfest ( ltd edition from West), Budvar, Budvar Dark, Budvar Half & Half and Red Stripe on draught. House voddie is Absolut @ £2.00 and there's over 200 spirits to choose from! Drink will be flowing if we win...

Hahahahahaha (and so on) We do allow kids in. We've got 2 'cooking' lagers - Tennent's & St Mungo by West - both £2.95. Capacity? Not sure, but I'd be delighted if we're full! Two bar staff on and I'll be floating about as well trying to watch the game, but dispensing beers as well. If we win, there may be a wee celebration drink too...

Never a problem to have Thistle colours at the Monkey. When we first opened I was unsure as we had some OF clowns in in their colours which I wasn't happy about. Thankfully they've now realised that we're not their style of pub and don't even try to come in! Red & Yellow always welcome.
